First he apparently was a bit of a prophet (he was deeply religious despite a temper and tendency to curse). 4 star General Patton—1945 on Russia:

“I'll say this ; The Third Army alone with very little help and with damned few casulaties, could lick what is left of the Russians in six weeks. You mark my words. Don't ever forget them. Someday we will have to fight them and it will take six years and cost us six million lives.”

Wow— Patton was an amazing American and the more I’ve read about him the more I’m impressed: Born of a military tradition he had 3 relatives killed in US wars (grandfather in the revolutionary war) He was a good student and had 6 years of formal military training His first action was in a punitive expedition to Mexico where he was in charge of a 10 man unit where he personally killed most of the enemy accounted for (hauling 2 back strapped like deer on a car hood) He was a crack shot with a pistol or rifle and he was literally a USA Olympian fencer and his redesign of the Cavalry sword is still used today (limited now) He was nearly killed 2x in combat in WW1 and considered the 3rd best US officer His WW2 record is controversial but legendary

I love Patton.

IMHO, he was murdered by the WWII “deep state”.

My Dad, a decorated WWII Vet, now deceased 8/26/2018 at 95, was with Patton’s 3rd Army Corps.

He was a Platoon Sgt in the 101st Infantry, 26th “Yankee” Division Combat Engineers, fought thru countless hedgerows, cities, towns, and villages in Northern France, Central Europe, Rhineland, Ardennes and finally, Bastogne. He was shot by a German sniper, in The Battle of The Bulge, while pulling his wounded men from a bloody, snow-covered field after a machine gun ambush.

He received the Eastern European Ribbon w/ 4 Clusters for Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe, along with the Purple Heart Medal for wounds he received in The Battle of The Bulge, the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the WW II Victory Service Medal.

He always said that Patton was “quite a piece of brilliant work”.

As good a general as Patton was most Americans probably don’t know who Lt. General Maurice Rose was.

Lt.General Rose was one of a very few Jewish officers in the American military who rose to the rank he did. He was the commander officer of the US Army’s 3rd. Armored Division, “The Spearhead’’, one of the hardest fighting American armored units in all of WW2.

When Rose entered West Point he listed his religion as “Protestant’’.

General Rose was also one of few American generals to be killed in action in WW2.

Patton said Attack, attack, attack!!.

Ukraine must attack and destroy a carefully selected Russian city

Patton also said....... “Do not take counsel of your fears.”

and “don’t die for your country. Make that Son Of a Bitch die for Russia”
