The assassin game was going on when I was in high school, and that's been a little while ago.

Had it in high school 35 years ago. Back then you might get your gun taken away and a couple days of detention for disturbing class. No way in the world could it be played now with jumpy “resource” officers and anti-gun prosecutors.

There has been paintball ‘wars’ for decades now, and police aren’t waylaid by calls to check them out all The time.

No, the guy who played “Goose” in Top Gun.

But I watched it for Linda Fiorentino.

Anthony Edwards.

She was the Coroner in MIB 2 or 3 I think.
Dark hair, sultry...

Creeping up on someone playing “assassin” holding a realistic looking paint gun, may not be a good idea in a place where other citizens are carrying concealed weapons.

I even endured watching “Vision Quest” because she was in it.

The ole motherly warning: It's fun until someone puts an eye out [new version: or gets shot for real].

There was another movie, IIRC that starred Linda Hamilton, called T.A.G. (The Assassination Game)

This put me in mind of the Airsoft Wars they were all the rage in Japan. I suppose the reason that they work there is that there aren’t many real guns on the streets.

LOL, best 80’s wrestling movie...

Vision Quest story for you. Michael Schoeffling makes handmade furniture up here in Pennsylvania.
Just in case you wanted to know what happened to “Jake” from Sixteen Candles...

I watched it a year or so ago. Hadn't seen it since the 80s. Fun movie and showed the times when the Berlin Wall was still up. I loved his "salute" to the East Berlin guards and the U.S. Gate Guard's response. Linda was definitely a draw.
