Please list the policies that you believe a candidate must actively promote in order to get a Trump endorsement.
“...his endorsements and appointments have in many cases been wrong.”
Compared to what? Compared to whom?
“Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century...”
Ask why that is? He obviously did appoint good people who did well in their jobs.
Trump was/is the best President for our time. How he would have done during other key points in our history, one can only speculate. For all I know, he might have been a real disappointment if he had been President during the Civil War era or during other crises in our history. But he was born for this time in history to fulfill a historic purpose.
OZ isn’t from PA, the rest doesn’t matter. Electing clowns and charlatans like Oz or McCormick won’t help anybody. It’s time for Trump to step aside before he Bull Mooses us.
Agreed. I think his endorsement of Herschel Walker, for one, is questionable. But in this case, I’m cautiously optimistic. I think you have to judge each endorsement on an individual basis. What may have been a bad choice in one state might be a good choice in another. If Oz was running for Senate in a reliably Republican state, I would be more critical. But as far as Pennsylvania is concerned, he might be our best hope for a reliable pro-MAGA vote on most issues.
What if the only three viable options are McCormack, Oz, or the Democrat? Do you not try to determine who is the better of the three, and then back him?
Trump has personally been very good on family issues like abortion and religious freedom. But choosing who you’ll endorse means more than finding someone you agree with on every issue. A leader like Trump is looking for someone who will support him on the important issues even when they may disagree with him personally.
While I think Trump has certainly made mistakes with his endorsements, he understands what makes politicians tick. All but a few will compromise on their “principles” if it advances their career. I think Trump is looking for people who are loyal enough to him personally that he’ll be able to garner their support on important issues, even if they personally disagree.
The Pennsylvania AG — who he identifies as the far-left Democrat running in November — is running for governor, not for the U.S. Senate.
Within all the american population, Oz is the best choice? Someone who has dual citizenship? This is wrong. It’s like obama all over again
Everyone makes mistakes and PDJT treated the gubmint’ like a corporation. He’s learned his lesson and I learned only last night that Mccormick is a DC SWAMP RAT DWELLER. His resume is a deep state agent’s wet dream.
Don’t fall for all the Conservative ‘saviors’ being touted to replace Trump. Most of them are “doing the right thing” because it’s good politics - DeSantis included. Before Trump came along what did DeSantis do? Did he ever challenge the leadership of Boehner or Ryan? He talked a good game, but prior to Trump, he never did anything that would jeopardize his relationship to the GOP Establishment. To some extent it’s not even DeSantis’s fault. He simply doesn’t have the deep pockets to become President on his own. That means he will never have the independence that Trump has. People seem to have forgotten how unique Trump is in that regard and want to go back to the days of blissful ignorance when we judged candidates merely by what they said, and ignored the strings being pulled in the background.
Governors like DeSantis and Youngkin are being given a long leash by the Establishment so that they can built up their cred with the base. If they were ever to gain the Presidency, then the receipts will come due. DeSantis has done a mostly admirable job as Governor, but even with regards to his COVID policy, for which I give him generally high marks -certainly better than most- he has made some bad decisions that were more geared towards optics rather than good policy.
Some FReepers only seen the small picture and fuss whenever something/someone isn’t “conservative enough” to suit them. Trump has the benefit of the view from 50,000 feet and actually knows and has a relationship with the guy, not just 3rd hand opinions formed via the media.
No, Oz is not the best choice out of all the American population. But he may very well be the best choice of all the candidates running for Senate in PA.
The guy in the weird shirt is the DEMOCRAT LT Governor of Pennsylvania, and he's running for the Senate. He's a Weirdo, but he's gonna be tough to beat November. And there is NO WAY that Fat Cat Swamp guy Dave McCormick can beat him. The ONLY one who can WIN is @DrOz! pic.twitter.com/G7fspR1Y1X— Greg Kelly (@gregkellyusa) March 30, 2022
What's with the MONK? I'm looking forward to @DrOz taking on this "individual" right after he BEATS Dave McCormick. pic.twitter.com/i7SrgZfEuI— Greg Kelly (@gregkellyusa) April 7, 2022
Honestly if this is the case I don’t think it matters
Endorse Oz or anybody like him and I stop voting for Trump. Period.
“Endorse Oz or anybody like him and I stop voting for Trump. Period.”
Fool.
That you are.
Last night on Newsmax Greg Kelly gave a good defense for Trump Oz endorsement.
Greg Kelly has too many friends in The Swamp. And he may well be part of it.
