Ashooting that began inside a Kansas City barber shop and left an employee injured was allegedly carried out by a customer who was unhappy with his haircut.
Witnesses told police that they overheard an argument involving Dickens about the haircut he got at the shop the day prior. After the shooting started, he told police, he retrieved a gun from his car and went around the corner to find Dickens standing over the victim while pointing a handgun at him.
The witness said he pleaded with Dickens to stop. Then there was some sort of malfunction that caused the clip to fall out, and — recognizing his chance to intervene — he rushed Dickens and got the gun away from him, the witness told police.

I had used the same barber for years and had recently retired and sold the shop; the new guy was a jamoke.
The crusty old engineers I worked with always said to cut your own hair.
My wife said she noticed but didn't want me to get excited and said nothing because it would grow out.
That day I bought a set of clippers on the way home...
No more barber shops for me.

It depends. Since this revolves around a barber shop, it could’ve been a hair clip, or a clip with scissors...or maybe just a quick snip. Or maybe the perp clipped the guy in the back of the head with his gun.
But don’t ask the author of the article because he ain’t got a clue.
Besides that, it was not a malfunction.

At that time I still had some fur, today not so much.
And my lead antagonist convinced me to go with the #1 (very short) clipper height. Many years later my wife is adjusting to the look.
