Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley says the Jan. 6 committee - which held its first primetime hearing Thursday night - should be a truly bipartisan panel. Turley said on "The Brian Kilmeade Show" Friday that the committee failed to present incriminating evidence against former President Trump.
JONATHAN TURLEY: That's one of the problems that the Democrats are going to have to confront. Not just that most people have moved on. They got to the condemnation stage two years ago. So they're trying, as The New York Times said, to reframe their argument for the midterm elections. The Times was referring to Democrats telling them that. But the question is, will it work? Because unlike other commissions and committees historically, this one doesn't have any other side. So even with like Pearl Harbor, with Watergate, with our wars during the Bush administration, it was all bipartisan. And sure, that makes for a messy scene, that makes for people pushing back, but it also gives it an authenticity that was entirely missing yesterday. The fact that they edited quotes like that, just really was quite glaring, you're not even trying to look like this is any type of true investigatory proceeding.

Distraction for low information crowd.
pay per view hanging

trial later
It [the January 6 “investigation”] was never intended, meant, or designed to be a bona fide investigation. Its sole and only purpose is to trump up a charge against President Trump.
Political prosecution, show trials ... all the things the Left is aiming towards.
Yes, but will the low information crowd have picked up on that? They aren't airing these things for the high information crowd. It doesn't matter that the overall ratings are low - they aired it with an agenda and to get this permeating through the culture. 11 million views seeing it live is substantial, not to mention all of the clips produced to use in other news broadcasts seen by a lot more people.
The base the Democrats are appealing to wouldn’t know the difference. Trump is bad - that’s the extent of their understanding.
Once one of these are truly executed against a high political figure (like Trump), I will realise that it is only a matter of time until they get around to me.
At that point, I will know there is nothing to lose.
And then *I* will choose.
“ but will the low information crowd have picked up on that? ”
Definitely not. The propaganda media will quote dishonest clips from the hearing and frame of them to sound even worse than the originally doctored clip. That is what the low information voters will hear. The left does not care how many people watch live.
I did not watch the hearing.

This is a short patio dance for the dem base.
There will be no indictments or trials, certainly no convictions.
It all fades into the fog in January.
As usual the lawyer miss the point. This isn’t about legalities, it’s about stoking the mob.
