What a beautiful time before the earthquake of 1906.

General business happening, no one crapping on the street.

A few months later, an earthquake literally rocked their world, but they survived.

That would not happen now.

SF needs to slide into the ocean.
That would make California somewhat great again.

Lots of cars for 1906 the Model T was not produced until 1908

The earthquake and fire was 4 days later

Where are all the homeless? Amazing how that problem seemed to not exist back when there was no welfare and people were too busy making a living to sit around all day.

Check out the young man dodging traffic at the 6:10 mark. That's how it's still done today in Manhattan!

I was in the South Bay during the ‘89 quake where the epicenter was 100 miles from SF.
I calmly dove under my desk and thought:
“I wonder if I’m going to die today”
I could see the shock waves in the concrete floor.
