Tennessee six-month-old August Stoll finally has been approved for a much-needed heart transplant after the child had to endure a bumpy road early in his young life.
Vanderbilt University Hospital originally denied the baby the procedure due to his vaccination status — even though the child's case was reportedly the "worst" defect that one cardiologist had ever seen, according to the family's GiveSendGo campaign.
The hospital mandated that Stoll needed to receive a series of vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccination, before he could be placed on the transplant list.
The baby’s parents refused to abide by the requirements based on their religious beliefs and their medical concerns related to Stoll’s immunocompromised status.
Bioethicist, theologian and "Losing Our Dignity" author Charlie Camosy said during an appearance on "Fox News @ Night" on Monday that he considered the case a "puzzling situation."
"Normally, doctors in the business are trying to protect children … but it looked like [the doctor in this case] might’ve been playing some kind of COVID politics with this," said Camosy — who has no personal connection to the case — during his appearance.
Though neither the hospital nor Stoll’s doctor responded to Fox News Channel's request for comment, Camosy said that in his opinion, the physician should lose his license if the mother’s account of what happened is valid.
"Think about the power imbalance here," he said. "Think about the desperation this family has felt."
"That’s a horrible thing."
It’s "not all that uncommon" for doctors to take advantage of their power by imposing their personal ideologies on patients, according to Camosy's research.

Hearing a supposed ER nurse here on FR admit that she did not know if a mask actually was helpful but that she supported anyone not wearing one being arrested and that she hoped they were sexually assaulted in jail was illuminating.

Also, and not for nothing, but why and how did the author and the editors allow this sentence to reach publication as it currently reads? The horribly stricken, practically newborn baby is referred to solely by reference to his last name. Why not be human and refer to him as “August” or “young August” or “the child”?

Recently had an annual checkup....told my doctor they so damaged their credibility with WuFlu nonsense that it will be 20 years before folks trust them again.
The shot likely would have weakened his immune system to the point the heart transplant could not be done. Or it would have killed him. Greedy drug companies and greedy hospital lawyers. Just disgusting.

Well, he basically told me that to a large extent, their hands were tied. I had asked him to subscribe some ivermectin to me... not that I wanted to take it or needed it immediately but just to have it as a preventative measure. He told me “..can’t do it. I’ll lose my medical license.” That’s when I told him that it will take 20 years to rebuild their credibility. I don’t recall that he actually had a response to my comment....

It really has been illuminating during COVID to see all the so-called FR covidiots demand we submit our rights to tyrants posing “trust the science” types.
Also the fact that many on FR are New World Order types supporting unlimited money and arms to Ukraine is also eye-opening.
She did not believe me because kids have a rosy eyed view of the world. I was just being overly protective.
Now that she is a mother herself she understands what I meant.
