Jussie Smollett is back in the limelight just 3 months after getting released from prison ... after attending the BET Awards and getting incredulous reactions online.
The actor showed up at Sunday night's ceremony in LA, all smiles ... telling ET he's excited to be "expanding his empire."
Twitter was on fire as JS walked the red carpet and took his seat ... memes were created in his name, while some called out BET for allowing "race-baiting liars" in its space.
Sunday night's host, Taraji P. Henson, has been a vocal supporter of Jussie -- they both worked on "Empire" ... but she was silent about her co-star during the ceremony.
Jussie still insists he did not lie about what he says was a homophobic and racist attack, because IF he had lied he'd be a total piece of s**t -- and he claims everyone knows he's not that.
FYI -- Jussie's got a new project on the horizon, and he's working with BET to get it done. The upcoming project "B-Boy Blues" is his directorial debut, with the platform geared to put it up on their streaming service.
There’s something about attention whores not living long lives when folks lose interest.
I suspect JS will off himself one day soon.
He needs to be in prison. We have a two tier justic system, folks.

He is supposedly out while waiting on his appeal. (Whenever that is)
So he may still do jail time.

For me, actually, watching old shows gets the job done.
TCM is the only channel worth watching most of the time.

BET Network made a double-fool of itself at this one event;
A. Allowing Jussie (The Liar) Smollet to be featured live and in a flattering way.
B. Awarding Best Actor Award to Will (The Slapper) Smith.
A & B proving once again, that BET sees color before credibility.
Of course, they proved that long ago with Obama.
If I ever get thrown in jail, I’ll have to remember what it was that Smellitt said to get out. I didn’t know they’d let you out just because you asked them. Maybe the Jan 6 political prisoners should try it...

What’s crazy is that one of the big insurance companies, maybe Allstate?, has him as a spokesman now. I see him in sidebar ads in my Youtube feed from time to time. Apparently in our present Clown World getting busted perpetrating a vile hoax is a resume enhancement.
My wife and I are into the old “Gunsmoke” episodes.
On whichever cable chanmel runs them.
