Sorry sir/mam, there is no such thing as a General Search Warrant. When you wrote one, you have to show what crime is being alleged, what particular evidence you think is in the particularly described location or on/in a person

4th Amendment……It prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. In addition, it sets requirements for issuing warrants: warrants must be issued by a judge or magistrate, justified by probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and must particularly describe the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.

Probable Cause…what crime was committed
Oath or Affirmation…..agent and Asst US Atty that drafted warrant raise their right hands and swear before the court that the information is true. If not, they commit perjury
Describe the place….have to clearly identify where you’re going to search- address, color, one story or two story, color of the front door
Things to be seized….evidence you believe to be in the place you just particularly described.

So, what you’re saying is NOT TRUE with regards to a General Warrant. Hell, neither the cops or DEA can get warrants to search mail sorting locations or FedEx locations anymore without having a specific package to identify. Even though the whole room reeks of weed.

There used to be a disabled guy in an area I worked. It was said that he transported drugs up and down the road for the dealers. I was talking to a friend that was assigned to the Narcotics unit about him, as we had both heard the rumors.

As we laughed about it, we agreed that if anyone tried to stop him to see if he was holding, that they had better be right. Really right. If not, I can’t imagine the amount of folks that would have come down on that cop for stopping and harassing a disabled man.
