Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas put the final kibosh on his disinformation governance board on Wednesday, after a review he ordered came back with a firm recommendation that the idea was a stinker.
The board had been on hold since May, when Mr. Mayorkas hit pause after a botched rollout that saw critics accusing him of Orwellian attempts to silence people who had competing views on issues of the day.
Mr. Mayorkas had insisted that wasn’t his goal. But the pick of Nina Jankowicz, who had a history of spreading dodgy information, to lead the board, as well as revelations that the board had been trying to coordinate directly with major tech companies had fatally damaged the secretary’s plans.
After his own Homeland Security Advisory Council voted unanimously to reject the idea of a board on Wednesday, Mr. Mayorkas put the final nail in it.
“In accordance with the HSAC’s prior recommendation, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas has terminated the Disinformation Governance Board and rescinded its charter effective today, August 24, 2022,” the department said.

I think this just proves that the disinformation governance board was NOT about homeland security at all. They tried to pull one over on us, and it didn’t work.
I ain’t buying it. They’re implementing it in some other way possibly through another agency. This is a diversion.

Odds are that it continues to function buried deep within the dystopian bowels of George Bush's DHS...
It has 22 different federal departments and agencies and 240,000 employees...
You can rest assured that the DGB, now called the ZYX, is safely and permanently functioning in the DHS bowels...

Lets not forget it was GWB who gave us the GDR sounding unconstitutional Department of Homeland Security, which absorbed the Border Patrol, and one branch of the military (the Coast Guard), which is also blatantly unconstitutional.

Correct. It still exists (probably has been around for some time) and now is merely hidden in some obscurely named agency.

After public blow back from his dirty deeds forced the slob some self awareness that he is the enemy.
Watch for the other shoe to drop, probably consisting of a memo setting up a new office to handle the very same partisan policy against reality, just not in DHS.
Mayorkas needs to cancel himself.
