‘We’re trying to start this movement’: MAARCH marches for right to choose

MADISON, WI — The Madison Abortion and Reproductive Rights Coalition for Health, or MAARCH, took the streets on Sunday, marching from UW’s Library Hall to the Capitol, seeking bodily autonomy in Wisconsin and beyond.

At the Capitol, people took the microphone to share their stories, saying why they believe that people should be able to decide whether or not they should carry a child.

“I’ve always thought that reproductive rights are so important,” Deborah Lofgren of the Dane County Raging Grannies said. “I went on to have three amazing daughters, and they always had some protection, and I now have an incredible granddaughter that has none.”

MAARCH says one in four UW females are sexually assaulted as an undergrad, and that rape goes hand in hand with unplanned pregnancies. They are standing up to give women a voice, and a choice, and give advice for women figuring out this new post-Roe vs. Wade world.

“We know that you cannot make real legislative changes without speaking up and showing other people that we have to join together,” Amadi Ozire said. “We know that in the 1970s how we got Roe vs. Wade in the first place was by taking to the streets, marching, endlessly, and so we’re trying to start this movement here in Madison.”

Ozire said the newly formed group has had no problem recruiting members, saying that this is an issue that people in Madison care deeply about.

“It’s the most important thing to be visible, to get your voice out there, to get your body out there, because if you don’t show up they can pretend you’re not there,” she said.

Quite the disconnect there, 'Granny.' How about raising your sole Granddaughter to respect life and behave herself until she's married? No? Yeah. I didn't think so...

Funny how these people have no problem murdering innocent babies but tend to be against self defense and gun ownership. A woman my have a better chance to stopping the actual rapist if she were armed.

They literally prefer to protect their rapist and murder a baby, evil incarnate.

They can’t even make an acronym correctly. It’s “MARRCH,” not “MAARCH.”

MAARCH says one in four UW females are sexually assaulted as an undergrad, and that rape goes hand in hand with unplanned pregnancies. They are standing up to give women a voice, and a choice, and give advice for women figuring out this new post-Roe vs. Wade world.

Less than 1% of rapes result in pregnancy, so rape hardly goes “hand in hand with unplanned pregnancies.”

The bigger elephant in the room that no one ever questions these people about is: what do the circumstances of this baby’s conception have to do with whether it should live or die? Why should the innocent baby get the death penalty for the crime of the rapist? This baby is half of the mother— the daughter or granddaughter of these “grannies”. Are they OK with having that child brutally destroyed? Are they OK with having these woman bear the guilt and regret of that their whole lives?

Killing unborn babies has never been a part of reproduction...how is it a “reproductive right”?

FTA: "We know that you cannot make real legislative changes(?) without speaking up and showing other people(?) that we have to join together,”(?) Amadi Ozire said.

Just like Ballsy-Ford testifying in that farce of a hearing against Judge Kavanaugh, using that cringy "up talk" inflection? Ending her sentences in the form of a question? Even when she's not asking a question? It's a tactic liberal women like to use? Or those who identify as women? As if to make themselves seem like the smartest person in the room? That's so beyond annoying? It's so condescending? When in reality it makes them sound disingenuous? But we dare not call them out on their 🐂💩? Because that would be mansplaining? And sexist? And..and .and..what else, RACIST?

“MAARCH says one in four UW females are sexually assaulted as an undergrad...”

So where are all the criminal complaints to back up this assertion?
