Hunter Biden’s laptop could hold answers to GOP interest in Chinese business deals
Washington Examiner ^ | 9/23/22 | Jerry Dunleavy

Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive likely holds the answer to House Republican questions over President Joe Biden’s son’s Chinese business deals, including his efforts to work out U.S. natural gas deals with a Chinese government-linked energy conglomerate.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking member on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, sent letters to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in May, June, and September and argued the Treasury Department continued to stonewall his efforts to get answers on Hunter Biden’s suspicious financial transactions linked to China and elsewhere.

Comer's newest letter provided granular details about Hunter's efforts to work out deals with China's CEFC China Energy, and the Washington Examiner can confirm his laptop hard drive is full of evidence about these efforts.

“Committee Republicans seek this information to determine the extent of President Biden’s participation in these plans to sell America’s interests to China, a foreign adversary,” Comer told Yellen in a letter this week. “Please produce all suspicious activity reports connected to China, including the CEFC venture contemplated by the maps and presentation provided herein describing a plan to sell America’s energy independence to China.”

The House GOP included excerpts from a December 2017 business presentation emailed to Hunter by his assistant, JiaQi Bao, who reportedly previously worked for the Chinese government’s National Development and Reform Commission and a Communist Party-linked investment firm before working with Hunter through his Hudson West business.

The Washington Examiner's laptop review shows dozens of communications between Bao and Hunter. The Washington Examiner commissioned Konstantinos "Gus" Dimitrelos to conduct a full forensic examination of the laptop, and he concluded that "the data contained on the hard drive is authentic."

Comer zeroed in on the sale of American natural resources, namely natural gas, to China.

All this talk has gotten tiresome. Just release the contents of the laptop to all Senators and Representatives, and to the FIB and DOJ, and process it. Enough talk. Just bring a light to it.

I was hospitalized in early 1998 when the Unibomber was caught. CNN… before it got awful… was about all I could get. I remember over several weeks, the FBI kept announcing they would find new things in his cabin—- which was something like 200 square feet. I wondered how you could search a tiny shack for weeks and keep coming up with new stuff.

Same thing here. Though obviously a hard drive contains a vast amount of data, there have been copies of it sitting around for almost two years. How many more revelations can there be?

I agree with you: someone who owns a copy just release the damn thing. The entire content would be analyzed and under public discussion in no time

I don’t really see the issue here. China buys lots of US natural resources. We sold them 13M tons of coal last year.

Is it OK to sell them coal but not natural gas?

Chinese military at Biden inaugural

PHOTO: Chinese Military-Linked HDI Chairman Attended Joe Biden’s Inauguration
By Andrew White

The Chinese military-linked Humpty Dumpty Institute Chairman Dr. Al Khalafalla attended the exclusive inauguration of Joe Biden on January 20, 2021.
National File has learned that Dr. Al Khalafalla, Chairman of the Epstein and Chinese military-linked Humpty Dumpty Institute, attended the highly exclusive inauguration of Joe Biden, as revealed in a tweet posted by Khalafalla four days after the event with the caption “New era …”

Traditionally, the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) would distribute 200,000 tickets for the official ceremonies at the Capitol and provide ticket bundles to members of Congress to distribute out to others. For the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies, invitations members of Congress were limited to themselves and one guest.

The excuse for such a limited attendance was partially blamed on COVID-19, as well as the January 6 riot that resulted in extremely heightened security at and around the Capitol.

With the Biden administration being ushered in through tens of thousands of National Guard troops, officials at the time urged Americans to stay away from Washington D.C. and watch the ceremony remotely.

To substitute for the lack of hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic American voters, nearly 200,000 little American flags were placed in the National Mall instead.

As National File previously reported, members of Congress are now distancing themselves from the organization currently chaired by Khalafalla after National File had reported on the HDI’s ties to the Communist Chinese back in November.

Republican Rep. Gus Bilirakis claimed to have submitted his resignation from the HDI after learning of their links to the CCP and Chinese military. “I agreed to work with your organization to educate people on religious persecutions taking place throughout the world and to be an advocate for freedom,” Bilirakis wrote in a letter the HDI. “So, you can imagine my alarm and distress when I learned about recent revelations of HDI’s connections to the Chinese Communist Party.”

“It is particularly abhorrent to me to be associated with an organization that has ties to a government widely known to actively support infanticide, engage in forced sterilization, exploit slave labor, and persecute religious minorities and political dissidents,” Bilirakis added.

The HDI is proudly partnered with the Taihe Institute, a Beijing headquartered “think tank” headed by several high-level party members and Chinese military officials. The obscure and suspicious organization claims to have “research centers” in the United States.

Members of Congress and Trump’s former Chief of Staff have distanced themselves from the Humpty Dumpty Institute – SEE WHY

One could find it particularly alarming that the Chairman of an organization so deeply involved with global elites, Chinese military officials, and CCP members, had attended the exclusive and limited inauguration of the President of the United States, given that he had previously attended a Chinese military-styled ceremony that involved him, along with other HDI and CCP members, bestowing a decorative basket of flowers before a tall statue of Mao Zedong at what appears to be the birthplace of communist Chinese dictator in the Shaoshan, Hunan Province of China.

In the video above, HDI Chairman Khalafalla can be observed with Taihe Institute Chairman Binge Ping, former HDI Director and current Taihe Fellow Ruby ‘Yuyun’ Wang, HDI

Director Joseph Merante, and several CCP and PLA members. The same HDI and Taihe Institute leaders have also been photographed in a closed door meeting alongside Congressional Democrat Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Hank Johnson.

To add, HDI worked with the Taihe Institute on their first annual Taihe Civilizations Forum held in August 2017. HDI leadership was present for all of Taihe Institute’s forums, except the one held in 2021. The forums appear to host discussions surrounding United Nations-style typical global elite talking points, transhumanism, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

In 2018 the Taihe Institute released a bizarre promotional video for their forum that year which talked questions like: “What kind of individual rights can we grant to human-like robots in the future?,” “Will artificial intelligence replace human labor?,” “Will human thought be captured in the future?,” “What does it mean to be human in the future?,” and “Can I live forever?”

Biden’s inauguration was notoriously limited in size and scope. National File is unable to confirm how the HDI Chairman was provided with a ticket to the ceremony. However, Khalafalla has frequently boasted what appears to be his tightly knit relationship with Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson, the current chair of the sham January 6 Committee and House Homeland Security Committee in recent months.

Readers can learn more about Rep. Thompson and Khalafalla here.

Hunter Biden’s Firm Wanted to Asset Strip the U.S. Postal Service, E-Mail Reveals...
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is trying to replace the Postmaster General.
https://thenationalpulse.com ^ | April 1, 2022 | by Raheem J. Kassam
Posted on 4/5/2022, 8:11:01 AM by Red Badger

President Biden’s son Hunter’s Rosemont Seneca firm considered the idea of asset stripping the U.S. Postal Service, previously unseen e-mails have revealed. The news comes as Joe Biden attempts to oust the current Postmaster General over election fraud concerns.

Writing to colleagues including Hunter Biden – the disgraced son of then-Vice President Joe Biden – Rosemont Seneca partner Neil Callahan said, “I still love this idea,” before forwarding an e-mail discussing the asset stripping of the U.S. Postal Service, The National Pulse can reveal.

Rosemont Seneca is the controversial firm led by Hunter Biden, which engaged in energy deals with the Chinese Communist Party as well as Burisma in Ukraine, and Metabiota’s biolabs in the same Eurasian nation.

Callahan was referring to an idea for a friend of Rosemont Seneca’s, a man by the name of Amitava Mitra.

Mitra had mooted the idea of asset stripping the U.S. Postal Service, detailing a strategy involving the multi-billion dollar, New York-based investment firm Evercore:

“I was talking with the evercore guys today… Evercore has a contract with USPS, who knows what they do, strategic advice they say. probably they are just selling off the real estate quietly as the USPS is in a $ 6 or 7 billion hole. think of it, USPS’s real estate in NY, DC, Chicago, LA, SF is worth $ 30 billion… if you can find a good firm, to fund this can be a huge play, just retail real estate like Grand central station… let me know.”

The news comes after the 2020 election, during which operatives on the political left accused President Donald Trump of attacking the Postal Service over his concerns with mail-in ballots.

The revelations are also concerning given current President Joe Biden’s insistence on removing the current Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, as Biden seeks to fundamentally transform the service with focuses on election funding and a green agenda.

The idea as presented on Hunter Biden’s hard drive did not appear to lead anywhere, though it may go some way to explaining Biden’s current obsession with removing Trump-era appointee DeJoy.

Last year, Biden began stacking the USPS board with political allies after being urged to do so by far-left Members of Congress. Last year, without specifics, outgoing White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki blasted DeJoy:

“We are, of course, deeply troubled, continue to be deeply troubled — as many Americans are — by the earlier reporting on Postmaster General DeJoy’s potential financial conflicts of interest and take serious issues with the job he’s doing running the Postal Service… It’s up to the board to make a determination about leadership, but we have continued concerns about the postmaster general’s leadership.”

The behavior strikes a worryingly similar tone to that of Joe Biden in Ukraine in 2016. During a Council on Foreign Relations event, the former VP appeared to admit that he leveraged U.S. aid to Ukraine in order to force out a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating his son Hunter’s former company, Burisma.

“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,’” Biden said he told Poroshenko, before concluding: “Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”

The Hunter Biden USPS e-mail was sent just after a deal was struck between the Postal Service and Evercore, an investing and consulting firm led by former Clinton Treasury appointee Roger Altman.

Altman, a college friend of former President Clinton’s, was forced to resign from the U.S. government in 1994 after admitting before the U.S. Senate that he had given White House officials a “heads-up” on nine criminal referrals that, according to CNN, “targeted Clinton’s 1985 gubernatorial campaign, and named the Clintons as witnesses in others.”

The news comes as corporate media organizations admit the veracity of Hunter Biden’s hard drive and the associated e-mails within. The National Pulse was one of the first and most frequent outlets to report from the drive, with a cache of stories available at BidenLeak.com

Bidens phony tax returns

Joe Biden’s Released Tax Returns Don’t Explain Millions In Income. Where Did It Come From?
https://thefederalist.com ^ | APRIL 06, 2022 | BY: BOB ANDERSON
Posted on 4/6/2022, 1:49:22 PM by Red Badger

The sources of President Joe Biden’s large income after he left his post as vice president have never been detailed in his tax returns.

In the week prior to the presidential election, I wrote a piece that asked the question, “Where Is Hunter Biden’s Money?” It was an important question then, even more so now. Given the legacy media’s recent validation of Hunter’s laptop that discussed a slice of equity planned for the “Big Guy” in a deal that involved an entity controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), we should know if any money from it (or other foreign sources) ended up in Joe Biden’s pocket, but we don’t.

Recall that despite then-presidential candidate Biden having bragged that he had released his tax returns with what his team called “a historic level of transparency,” the truth is that he only released his individual returns. Those returns provided no detail regarding the source of most of his income, dollars that flowed to him and his wife Jill by way of S-corporations they set up shortly after his departure from the office of vice president. Those entities, CelticCapri Corp (his) and Giacoppa Corp (hers), contained more than $13 million of the $17 million the couple had reported in income after Biden left office, most of it in the first year (2017).

The same media that ignored Hunter’s laptop has shown a complete incuriosity about these entities, accepting the premise that Joe and Jill raked in $13 million from their book deal to generate their huge increase in income. We simply don’t know if that’s true, though. What we do know is that their book sales were dismal.

Perhaps sensing smoke starting to build just before the election, USA Today published a “fact check” piece that attempted to support that the Bidens earned “$15.6 million … from speaking fees and book deals” in the years 2017 through 2019 and that “more than $10 million of that total income was profits from Biden’s memoir ‘Promise Me, Dad’ and $3 million in profits from Jill Biden’s book.”

Follow the source link provided to that $10 million number, though, and you’ll end up at Joe Biden’s campaign website with financial disclosure links to only their individual returns — no S-corporation tax returns. So, in reality, readers were left with a smokescreen. (Now the financial disclosure links for 2016, 2017, and 2018 have even been changed to connect to a Democratic National Committee fundraising site via ActBlue rather than the tax documents.)

I noted back in 2020 that, “While (Joe Biden’s) financial disclosures reasonably support the $2.7 million of net income reported by CelticCapri in 2018, a notable $8.7 million gap exists between its $9.5 million net income in 2017 and the $809,709 of disclosed income in that year from book tour and related speaking events. Since his disclosure covers only part of 2017, we lack the insight into other income that may explain it.”

To that obvious question, the legacy press simply yawned. But it will become increasingly harder for them to maintain a head-in-the-sand position as more information arises.

Senators Present Proof of CCP Connections

Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., recently showed proof of payments from what they said were CCP-controlled firms “that prove just how connected the Bidens were and how compromised President Biden probably is.” An August 2017 wire receipt showed $100,000 sent from CEFC Infrastructure Investment to Owasco, and a copy of a November 2017 check from CEFC Limited revealed $1 million paid to Hudson West III, LLC. Both recipient entities were tied to the president’s son.

Did any of that money, or other overseas income, go to Joe or Jill? We would know if the president provided a copy of their S-Corp. tax returns with all partner K-1’s that flowed through them. But the only detail we have is aggregate numbers reported on the couple’s individual returns.

2017 Biden taxes

2017

2018 As it stands, we’re left to trust USA Today that Jill grossed $3 million (royalties plus about $700,000 from speaking fees) for a book that sold only 7,000 copies in its first week, and that from that book deal she netted more than $1 million in the two years prior to its release, but only $175,319 in the year it was published (2019). It’s possible an advance was paid, but could a publisher have justified that amount?

2019 The Numbers Don’t Add Up We are told that Joe netted $12.2 million (after expenses) in the same deal for a book that sold 300,000 copies. Excluding the $4.2 million earned from touring and speaking, that yields $8 million of income that we are to assume came from book royalties (higher if we know his gross revenues before expenses).

For analysis purposes, consider that his book had a retail price of $27 for hardcover and $18 for paperback, and assume a reasonable mix of sales so the average price was $23 (with no discounting). On 300,000 books sold, gross revenues would’ve been just under $7 million. As an author, Joe would’ve likely received about 12 percent of that using a blended royalty rate (15 percent hardcover and 7.5 percent paperback typical from publishers), yielding about $800,000 income. Round it up to $1 million if you prefer. Double it. It’s still not close to $8 million.

Sure, he likely got an advance, but would a publisher have advanced that kind of money to an author whose prior work, “Promises to Keep,” sold only 49,000 copies?

So many questions.

Release the Full Tax Returns Rather than ask for proof of sources of income, the media has been stuck in a repeating cycle of reporting about whether Joe and Jill underpaid payroll taxes. That’s a valid question, but it may miss the much larger one: Where did all of that money come from after Biden left office?

To that end, tax returns are a valuable investigative source document. Since the days of Al Capone, the rule has been clear: Don’t ever fail to pay taxes on any income, even if shady. It’s the easiest conviction for a prosecutor. So it’s logical that all income would be reported, and for any potentially over the ethical or legal line, an upstream S-Corporation would serve as the perfect mechanism to obscure it from view.

On a matter of this importance, all possibilities must be fairly considered until proof is established one way or the other. The president may have completely valid sources for all of his income, and if so, he should demonstrate it, particularly given the evidence of foreign money flowing through his son and indirect references to himself.

In releasing Biden’s tax return last year, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki commented that the “release (of) the president’s tax returns … should be expected of all presidents.” Surely she would agree this means the full set of documents.

If this question involved former President Donald Trump and one of his sons, The New York Times and The Washington Post would already be howling for full disclosure, and they would be right to do so. So perhaps they will join now in saying, “Mr. President, please clear the air of all doubt — release your full tax returns.”

The problem I have with corruption on this scale is I know Hunter's not that smart - and either is 'big guy' Joe. Who's putting the puzzle together? Among democrats I don't see anyone up to the level this game's being played on. The FBI's consumed with goose chases - finding innocent private citizens who were at a protest but never went in the building - school board parents - etc etc... Who was strong enough to make them impotent? Other groups that would normally be looking into this kind of stuff are equally 'distracted'. It's weird. If this is a coup we're dealing with a massive intellect or a state intelligence group has to be behind it. But I don't see anyone who fits that description. Well other than Soros - and even he can't be involved to this level. So is it just common criminal greed? Appearing as coordination? Could it be that simple?

“According to the letter, Hunter’s Chinese assistant, Bao Jiaqi, who previously worked as the research assistant at China’s macroeconomic management agency National Development and Reform Commission, sent him a detailed presentation containing political and topography maps, along with Chinese annotations, carving up America based on natural gas reserves. The 30-page presentation made particular emphasis on Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming.”
