I was told mine as probably from a virus. I got very sick after a trip to Haiti, and my T started faintly in my left ear. I grew worse and I finally lost my hearing on my left side (but not the tinnitus). I now have tinnitus in my right ear but my hearing on my right is normal for my age (64). Weird.
PHARMA Bingo?
I heard the COVID vaxxxxxines are a cure. ALL of the vaxxxxxxines will stop the ringing forever. Just give them time and stay up with the boosters, ALL of them.
An “Ode to Tinnitus”. That’s original.
I call it a pain in the a**, but that can cover a lot of things, lol!
Had a thirty year career in the Bell System and its progeny. I’m right handed, so I would cradle the test set with my left shoulder. Today my left ear is where the world around me sings.
I was at a wake for a co-worker a few years ago. A couple of us were standing in a circle talking in low tones. The wives off to the side were pointing at us and laughing. We were all leaning in with our right ears except for my old partner. He was leaning in with his left....he was the only south paw in the group.
Not funny. I set her hardly able too do anything with a roaring in my ears.
I can't stand any of their other music, but a FReeper turned me onto this song and it's one of the few I actually bought from iTunes:
BTTT
I have had the exact same experience with subtitles. I used to think it was a liberal plot.🤬
If you want it to subside for a while, for some it’s actually days but not me, try this simple trick.
Push both your palms on your ears with your fingers wrapped behind you neck where it meets the skull hard. Push firmly on your ears while drumming your fingers against the back of your skull for a full 30 second.
Release your hands and listen.
Used to be left ear only.
Now its in the right as well. The good news is the notes they are using fit the same chord.
I thought the same as a kid. I looked for others reaction to that sudden tone I was sure everyone could hear.
Wow. Thx
My son has it. Says it gets worse when he eats salty stuff. It’s so bad he can’t hear anything even with his hearing aids. He’s deaf in one ear and 90 percent deaf in the other.
Why hasn’t that been told before. That helped and bs bunk internet crap never helps. I’m Bump.
Yes. It’s in my vehicle tunes rotation.
Each portion of your inner ear is tuned to a certain frequency. When it becomes damaged and receives no input the natural noise gets amplified. This tinnitus. When the hearing aid amplifies a real signal of that frequency the ear’s amp has some input and it overpowers the natural noise. (So the doctor said.). I imagine the hearing aid needs to amplify where your specific frequency is lacking.
“Me too. “Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be armored vehicle crewmen...”
Or Grunts. Lol
👍
That’s how some people who’ve got jabbed numerous times feel. Not me. I’m jab free and will deal with my tinnitus in my own way.
