Loved Inspector Morse and Endeavour but I didn’t care for Lewis as much. However, I did like Sergeant Hathaway in the Lewis Series...and even more so now that I know is political views!
It took me a while to get involved in Lewis. But he became a figure of process, tragedy, and eventual overcoming. And he did not lose his essential self.
I am from that part of the world - North East England and sometimes I have trouble understanding him. LOL!
