At the end of Donald Trump’s presidency, his team returned a large batch of classified FBI documents and other government records to the Justice Department in such disarray that a year later -- in a letter to lawmakers -- the department said it still couldn’t tell which of the documents were the classified ones.
The documents came from the FBI’s controversial probe in 2016 looking at alleged links between Russia and Trump's presidential campaign. Trump tried to make the documents public the night before he left office, issuing a “declassification” memo and secretly meeting with conservative writer John Solomon, who was allowed to review the documents, Solomon told ABC News this past week.
But for reasons that are still not clear – and to the great frustration of Trump and his political allies – none of the documents were ever officially released, and the Justice Department said Thursday it's still working to determine which documents can be disclosed.

They couldn’t tell which were classified?? That makes absolutely no sense.
If they can’t tell which are classified then, how can they now turn around and say that they knew which ones are classified? Notice how they are now admitting that the FBI is trying to grab back the Russiagate, Crossfire Hurricane, and FISA warrants. This isn’t a matter of National Security this is their attempt to Cover Their Own Asses, by preventing 0bama, Biden, Clinton, Comey, and others from being exposed as plotters of a coup.

Pretty sure that classified stuff is marked with its classification on every page. And often every paragraph. If you have a document and cannot tell if its classified, then it’s pretty safe to say its not classified.
The real question is in year 2 of the Biden administration why aren’t you writing stories on how successful he’s been and how the country is in a much better place than on Trump’s last day in office?
People are much more interested in Bad Trump stories than they are their obliterated personal wealth and disappearing liberties.
They all know the truth about the fake Russia set up but they still can not accurately report the facts.

There was NO link between Russia and Trump and these bastards knew that but used it top spy.
They spied on the Republican Presidential candidate, the President-Elect and the President when he took the oath on Jan 20th.
Everyone of them ought to be in jail--starting with the spyer-in-chief, Obama.

How was Trump supposed to know they were classified but the DOJ still can’t figure out what is classified? And the DOJ has leaked information about the documents, for example lists of how many were supposedly classified, and what the subject matter was. If they had let Trump keep the documents these leaks would not have occurred. So how can they claim to be “protecting” the classified information? They leaked a PHOTOGRAPH of a bunch of classified documents arranged on the floor! how is this keeping them secret??
What they are trying to portray is that Unclassified was mixed with Secret, and then with Top Secret material....and that mortal human beings can’t handle this mixture.
I spent twenty years of my military career easily handling the filing of all three levels, and after a decent amount of training...it’s not rocket science. But if you start off and just say SCIFs aren’t in the mix, and uncleared people are routinely around all levels of classified, then you are creating massive chaos.

Every document that is classified and then declassified would still possess those classification markings. They do not suddenly disappear from the document when the p[resident, or whoever declassifies them.
Glad to see not only did Trump formally declassify these, he let the media see them.
So we learn Trump has witnesses.
Disarray. Right. He was an extreme success for several decades by being sloppy and not paying attention to detail.
