Being Christian, I see a very different picture. A Biblical hallmark: God commonly uses Evil to destroy Evil. Exactly what we have here.
Both sides are corrupted, evil. Support neither, support negotiations and Peace. No one has, just war, war, war….and yes the US is included with this immoral, corrupted leadership, falls into the evil category.
There won’t be any peace until the Russians go back to Russia. They can either do it voluntarily, or involuntarily, but it’s going to be war either way until that happens.

Well, Pete Seeger did it originally, but it was not commercially accepted. Then of course, the most famous version was recorded by the Kingston Trio in 1961, and PP&M followed up with their cover in 1962. Before your time.
Russia really doesn’t have much small business in the western sense. It’s cities are pretty much empty of trade outside of shopping malls and markets.

There is nothing stopping Russians from going home and negotiating from Moscow. If they really wanted peace they would do that. Obviously, they don’t.
Russia is in for a catastrophic economic crash if the anecdotes in this story are typical.
No, they’re fairly well documented.
The figures are not news on their own because beimg a civilian in a war with urban fighting and aerial bombardment tends to result in lots of deaths, and bears shit in the woods. Cause of death is more likely to create a news story.
Russian troop casualties on the other hand tell a story on their own. They’re the aggressors. They had all the numbers on their side. Again, the count is less newsworthy than the circumstance.
Also, the contrast between the Ukrainians collecting evidence and the Russians never xollecting it.
According to Russia they can give a precise figure for Ukrainian casualties despite not counting bodies at all, but they have only been able to post numbers of their own casualties twice in 8 months and the last time they did it they used BBC estimates.
The BBC estimates are based on counting obituaries and new graves in Russian towns, so obviously don’t include the thousands of unrecovered corpses in Ukrainian fields, the uncollected dead in Belorussian morgues, and the rank and file that went down on the Moskva.

I’d never been to Russia before this mess started I wanted to visit Pavlov’s house and walk the two hundred steps that marked the days up to “THE HOMELAND MOTHER IS CALLING”.
Now probably not happening.
I do not know anyone that has visited Russia in many years, so I have to ask if you have been there in recent times.
Watched an interview with Nina Khrushcheva,(YES, adopted granddaughter) Professor/writer, who just returned from Russia.
The morale in Russia going downhill quickly.
