Lots of people eat late at night, for various reasons, (2nd 3rd shifts), not all are fat. Eating the right calories a day is the only key.

I’d need to see the specific study and read it. In my experience, “studies” show whatever people want them to show. A genuinely good study is rare, and even rarer when it comes to nutrition - where the vast majority involve associations involving groups where dozens of variables are involved.
Did the study compare JUST fiber? Or “high fiber” compared to the standard American diet?
