This happens, quite often:
Shameless by Garth Brooks was written and released by Billy Joel...that is Garth’s song now.
Tainted Love by Soft Cell was written and released by Gloria Jones...that is mostly a Soft Cell song, although Marilyn Manson’s version is pretty dang good too!
Respect by Aretha Franklin was written and released by Otis Redding...that is Aretha’s song.
Black Magic Woman by Santana was written and released by Fleetwood Mac...that is Santana’s song.
Yep, his soulful ballads are some of my favorite listening music. Kris Kristofferson wrote and released “Sunday Morning Coming Down”, but Johnny’s version has so much more feeling and passion...you feel his lonesomeness and hurting through Johnny’s version.
Of someone tells me they don’t like Van Morrison we pretty much can’t be friends.

I will respect your opionion but I have always been totally into that type of genre since the 70s with punk, 80s with New and Dark Wave, the Grunge movement and post Grundge mid - late 90s.
The 9” Nails never did anything for me. Lyrics were/are alwasy light. Just because you repeat the same lyrics over and over again at increasing decipbles does not make a song any better (are you listening Dave Grohl?)
