Little is yet known about David DePape, the man accused of beating Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with a hammer in the Pelosis' San Francisco home early Friday morning.
Law enforcement officials say an investigation into DePape’s motives is ongoing. Some of his alleged internet history appears to show a man consumed with conspiracy theories and extremist views that seemed to be associated with his YouTube viewing habits.
However, as media outlets scramble to uncover more about the 42-year-old, some attention has focused on Gypsy Taub — a nude activist he had once lived with in Berkeley.
California state Sen. Scott Wiener, who represents San Francisco, said he saw Taub during the controversial debate over public nudity in 2012, back when officials were considering banning the practice in San Francisco.
That year, despite ongoing protests, city lawmakers passed a ban on a slim 6 to 5 margin. While Wiener witnessed demonstration efforts and says he supported people expressing their opinions, even though he introduced that legislation, he said that Taub — a vocal activist at the time — immediately made him feel uncomfortable.
“There was something very off about her that creeped me out, and I really wanted to say I didn't want to be anywhere near her,” he told SFGATE.
Taub espoused 9/11 conspiracy theories on public access television while naked, the Sacramento Bee reported in 2012.
While Wiener couldn’t confirm whether DePape was with her at the time of the protests, Wiener said DePape looked familiar

What do we know about Paul Pelosi? What is he hiding from Nanzi? Does he have Monkey Pox yet? Is he HIV+? Is it true that Paul gave Nanzi syphilis and that’s the reason Nanzi is crazy?

There is no doubt that Nancy knows all about Paul. And she probably knows David DePape as well. Do you think that she will be asked if she knows him? No way.
