Cannon was just another fat guy to me, but my parents remembered him from his radio days. Wikipedia says he also narrated “Rocky & Bullwinkle” (as well as “The Fugitive”), but I didn’t hear any connection.
I still remember a line from Cannon. A bad guy talking to Cannon says, “You don’t sweat much for a fat man.”

And the Cannon fight scenes were particularly ludicrous. I could accept Mannix roughing up a bad guy. It was kinda realistic. But Cannon would just give the bad guy a weak shove, and that was it. Fight over. Cannon wins.
Funny how I can remember all that from 50 years ago. But I can’t remember where I put my car keys from an hour ago.
He was also the voice of my favorite cereal character, QUAKE.
