I always liked Gorka back when he taught for the Program for Terrorism and Security Studies but his position on Ukraine and this Ukraine-Russia war/conflict has, to say the least, been all over the place, so to speak.
I have no idea what his position was but people are allowed to change their minds aren’t they? We’re all adults...

Gorka is a very smart guy, especially as it regards terrorism and terrorism studies. His stepping into the ring on Ukraine was probably more from his ‘roots’ as a Hungarian-American, but I dunno, but again, from my perspective, his position on Ukraine been all over the place.
Of course, from my perspective as well, he is right, aid to the blackhole Ukraine should end but I, as with others here in/on FR, have long said that the US should never have got involved in Ukraine in the first place.
I get his opinion but, we are using Ukraine as proxy for war against Russia to mitigate a two front war in 10 years in 10 years with China and Russia.
Once we neutralize Russia, they are no longer able to participate with China’s military ambitions and we can take on China knowing they no valid allies...
We simply have criminal voters electing criminal politicians.
It’s amazing how FR is split on this and I respect your opinion and it’s not an uncommon one but I dont like foreign aid.
The founders said no entangling alliances and that should be your foundation (in my opinion!)

I agree with your position 100%. I think I have worded my reply a bit poorly (it’s early)
Generally though I like to encourage people being able to change their mind.
How many times do you see people on FR saying they regret their vote or support for W Bush (an example). I was always against him too and his military adventures but I dont rub it in if you know what I mean.
I think we should encourage that kind of thing.

We won’t neutralize Russia, but we certainly have energized Europe and they will get off their a$$es and take over the countering of Russia. Additionally encourage Europeans to keep a closer watch on China incursions in Europe, Africa. and middle East.
We need to disengage from Europe and pay more attention to the Americas, Arctic, and the Pacific.
We shouldn’t be making ANY payments to Ukraine except for humanitarian relief, wasteful or not.
Agreed on Ukraine.
In the end Russia will prevail.
