The Seventies also gave us The Godfather and Space Hoppers but those glam rock years will forever live in the shadow of the Swinging Sixties.

When mrs. abb & I were courting, that was our regular Friday night date at my folks house - Rockford Files and Quincy. Saturday we would splurge and go to a movie.

Got out of the Navy in ‘70. Married in ‘71. College. Work. I remember it well.

I went through BCT with a lot of guys from Mississippi in the fall of ‘69. They told us stories about Hurricane Camille that still give me nightmares.
We watch an episode every evening.

Bullshit! The Vietnam war was “spawned” at least 15 years before the Shitty Seventies wver started/

I remember those gas lines. I think that’s when I first learned to pump my own gas. Why did we pay someone extra to do that for us?

Oh, yeah. Just a month or two ago I got rid of most of my sewing patterns from the ‘70s and ‘80s. There were bell bottoms. I was too short for them to look good on me.
The ‘60s styles were better.
Leisure suits. I hear they are making a comeback.
SNL was actually funny in the 70s.
