The problem we have in California is the jackasses running it. We have been pummeled with storm after storm these past few weeks. However, with the lack of storage facilities (reservoirs), LOTS of water is wasted as it flows out to the bay and ocean.

Reservoirs are only part of the solution, also need desalination plants to pump clean ocean water back up slope to higher altitude reservoirs.

In the 1990s, the Climate Cretins claimed that by now there would be ZERO snow in the Sierra Nevada... <<

in the 70s the Climate Cretins claimed that by now there would be a glacier covering 1/2 of the US .../s

Because the state has kicked the can down the street with regards to earthquake reinforcement of reservoir dams, the state tends to release water to reduce pressure on the dams. The largest reservoir in Santa Clara County, Anderson, is at a seriously reduced maximum level while they *finally* work on earthquake upgrades for it’s dam.

However, with the lack of storage facilities (reservoirs) ...

That probably should be restated as "the lack of any *new* storage facilities in several decades".

Just search the phrase “California dam removal” to know that they have no intention of ‘saving’ any snowmelt. Also, there is a very large body of water alongside the western side of Kalifornia. Just a few desalination plants, and Kalifornia could export water, just like Israel has done. Israel is at the forefront of desalination; they have enough fresh drinking water to export it to other countries.

Kalifornia is the epitome of a Marxist mentality. Create shortages, ESPECIALLY of essential items. Trees and snail darters are in crisis, as long as humans remain alive. A crisis (democRAT caused or not) is a terrible thing to waste.

Newsom and his cronies will find ways to squander this in order to perpetuate the public’s hardships.

Disneyland needs to keep their new politically correct log ride flowing.

Check the Christmas season of 1955 in the Bay Area of California. Same thing, before flood control however.

Empty reservoirs = climate change
Full reservoirs = climate change

You will be disappointed. They will let even more water out into the ocean just like they have for the last 10 plus years.

They don’t want water. They want to control a limited supply of water.

That’s great! But I think Feds need to take over water management out west.

California has their heads to far up their guacamole toast arses to manage it.

They love batteries.

Too bad that most of the public does not understand that the largest battery in America is Lake Roosevelt. Why? Because much of that water goes through a series of dams that generate massive amounts of electricity with no loss of water and no pollution.

They love salmon. I love salmon. Too bad that most of the public does not understand how successful the fish ladder systems and hatcheries have been in the Pacific Northwest.

The loss of salmon is coming from commercial fishing and much of that is China who does not obey rules. The US and China have throttled their commercial fishing and China has filled the void since China wiped out their own fish stocks in territorial waters.

It’s China - not the dams. The new fish ladders are amazingly effective where they take the strongest fish and pump them up and over the dam.

Dams increase animal and aquatic activity in addition to agricultural activity. We should have more dams - not less.
