I speak with people all over the world so I create sound profiles for my various team members.

I downloaded and installed SC easily enough and took the hearing test, but I had trouble getting it started. I’ll keep trying.

I may finally, thanks to you, be able to watch without subtitles. I’ll need to learn how to watch without constantly glancing to the bottom of the screen.

My old laptop does not have good volume. It was just built that way compared to the newer laptop I have. Same for the LG6 phone I had compared to the Samsung S10+ I now use.
Try an external speaker or use a blutooth headset.

Thanks.
Someone recommended SonicCloud. I tried it and it works great! Exactly what I needed.

Thanks, Daniel. The Firefox extension looks very promising.

I’m just going to toss in here that many Bluetooth speakers and headphones are not all that loud even with the conventional Windows controls cranked up, and then some sources (some You Tube vids, for example) are not particularly loud either. (Note that better dynamic range often means less average volume attainable if the equipment’s “peak volume” / clip level is modest.)
I suspect many Bluetooth headphones and speakers limit gain so to protect themselves from damage and / or extend battery life. I think I went through 3 Bluetooth heaphones before I found one (a cheapy) that could be turned up far enough for lower volume YouTube vids. And I’m not a volume freak...

Thank you.
Another reader recommended the SoundCloud app and it solved my problem entirely. Fabulous software!

thats fine... but when boasting tunes for our troops, Our troops arent into Mantovani. So me thinks the slogan should change to “Tunes that only we like”. That would be a more fitting and honest title...

Great!
I’m not familiar with SoundCloud. Does it function offline to modify audio? (Ie., eq, boost volume, etc.)

You take a hearing test so it can create your profile in order to tailor its output to your needs. It boosts volume substantially, and you adjust the loudness.
It's an easy download/install. And, it is free.

I love Sonic Cloud, which you kindly recommended. However, after a month it began requiring a subscription costing
$77.86 per month, which is well beyond my budget.
Does that price correspond with your experience?
