It’s all one big Balinese shadow puppet show.
Nothing new. Companies have been doing this for many decades.
Nothing new. Car companies have been supplying Hollywood cars for decades. Read the credits at the end of old TV shows, “Automobiles supplied by Ford Motor Company, GM Etc...............
Hollywood always disappoints. Why change?
Remember the bailouts GM got during the mortgage insurance implosion? That $ went to safeguard their oversees operations.
propaganda by any other name is still...propaganda.
The Sopranos was full of product placement. What’s the favorite beer at the Yellowstone bunkhouse or about any bar in that show? Coors Banquet. What do the Yellowstone/good guys drive? Dodge Ram. What about “others” or bad guys? Ford F-150’s mostly.

Eff em.
Nothing in the multiverse will cause me to have a GM POS again.
Corvettes excepted, of course.
That's some really creepy but long-range cultural manipulation.
But then again, so are our commercials featuring stupid white males, intellectual or physically superior POCs, and (don't get me started) on TV series and movie casting.

I have been a Netflix rental customer since 2006. In that time I have rented 1200+ movies.
I have always chosen which movies to rent. Netflix promotes other movies and their streaming service as well.
But lately Nflix has become more aggressive, via email, about their streaming service in which I have no interest. I sent them an email threatening to leave the rental service if they continued their streaming emails. I never heard from Nflix again but their streaming emails quit. I continue the rental program.
