Welcome! Wonderful to have you along. That means I’ll have to bump the flowers video to sooner rather than later. I really want to do Plant a Radish from The Fantasticks. Just got a copy of the song but don’t have enough veggie pictures right now. Let me know if you have any requests.
Husband has a flip phone but I keep a smart one for photography and for audio books and for an app that recognizes songs playing in groceries.
How about those videos of plants growing/blooming, set to some kind of extravagant music? That would be fun. :)
The bro got me straight. There were 2 spots for contacts & the one I had not spotted yet had all the info. He also had a charging cord I am using until I can get my own. Still screwed on 2 apps: a calendar for appointments & another for birthdays, etc. I have already manually put on the appointments. If I am too wound up to sleep, I will be doing the birthdays :-)

I’m currently working on “The Flowers that Bloom in the Spring” from The Mikado.
It’s 3 a.m. so the birthdays app is now ‘populated’.
I forgot to mention that Wednesday night, I came in from 5 hours of working outside at 5 p.m. My SIL took the dog for a walk around 5:40 & there were about 20 deer in the back field - I missed seeing them, doggone it. She said when they saw her & the dog, deer were going in every direction. The dog loves chasing deer, but there were so many running, she just stood there, couldn’t figure out which one to chase! I spooked 6 big bucks in the clover patch probably a decade ago, but this is the largest herd ever seen on the place.
Have an old pal who now lives in AZ. Shed/antler hunting is apparently lucrative out there. I usually just let the dogs have them.
When Beau is hunting Elk on the Idaho/Montana border, he spends the down time looking for sheds. He’s brought back some great antlers.
I guess I really don’t NEED another dog, LOL!

The only time we see deer around here is when we’re NOT hunting - or they run into our vehicles on the road.
We have 48 acres of woods, surrounded by all the corn and soybeans they can eat. Ungrateful buggers. ;)

Snow is melting fast.
I have many spring-flowering bulbs planted, and can hardly wait for them to emerge and bloom.

The past week here in Central Missouri was mostly warm-ish with a bit of rainfall. We’re still way behind from last year’s drought so anything at this point is better than nothing.
Mrs. Augie and I spent most of Saturday cleaning up around the yard. I cut up a mulberry tree that was leaning on the arena fence and hauled that away. It took four loads on my 16’x7’ flatbed trailer to get rid of all the brush. I managed to get another six loader buckets of limestone cobble placed in the pond. By the time I put in what’s left of the pile I should have the dam pretty well muskrat-proofed.
I had another greenhouse mishap last week. Had three flats of seedlings up and looking good when the temperature controller for the heating mat lost its mind and went non-stop wide open. By the time I noticed it the soil temps were over 100 degrees and most of the baby plants were toast. I ditched the broken temp controller and replanted yesterday. Hopefully this time will work out better. At this rate I’m going to have to make another seed purchase.
Today our chickens are celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl win with a nice bowl of leftover party snacks. With the temps moderating and daylight increasing they have started to lay enough eggs that we’re able to give a few away. Won’t be long and we’ll have eggs coming out of our ears.
