The best hope is Allan Domb, who is about as close to a Republican as you can get in Philly. But he has an uphill fight.

Like his personal behavior or not...

Let's take a critical look. His personality-behavior was/is extremely relevant, he was a highly compromised individual, a hypocrite for all to see, and he knew it. His message was more designed as lip service for the white community than for blacks.

I don't have a case against MLK, he was someone else's work product. My refence was only to compare him with C. Thomas.

If you were charged with inspiring and uplifting the black community today, who would you hire of the two as a speaker?

There has to be 20-25 people involved. A couple seem to something going down, run up, get a kick in then run away.

Who acts like this? black people.

The last time we visited someone in Philly was a number of years ago, but it was getting really bad then too.   We had to go through that formerly beautiful area on the Ben Franklin Parkway (near where the Franklin Institute and the Art Museum are located), and there were hordes of homeless people living there along the street, in tents, and boxes, and various other things.   They were homeless, and I believe a lot of them had various drug and alcohol problems, as well as nasty, unsanitary, public bodily function habits.   It was such a shame for everyone involved.

Now, to compound that situation, the extremely heightened danger of living in or visiting cities like that these days (due to Soros' DA's, weird politicians, and out-of-control, violent punks), makes it even worse.

I had to look up "McGillin's Old Ale House".   They have an interesting web site.   I don't know if they are still as good as you remember them, or if it is a safe place to go, but if you ever decide to visit there again, I would recommend you go with a large, heavily-armed group.     :-)

(I bet they have fun there on St. Paddy's day!)

(You mentioned you were in a band there.   I know that "youtube" wasn't around yet, when Rizzo and Green were mayors, but did you happen to have any videos from back then of you and your band that you later uploaded to youtube?)

Aw, I hate to hear that. That area was nice back then. I remember a few of us being a tad inebriated one Saturday night and feeling compelled to run (and walk) up the Art Museum steps and…well, you know. Had to be done. Hahahaha

There were bums as they were called back then, but they were only seen here and there on occasion. No tents or any kind of habitats. We bought them sandwiches and Cokes sometimes.

LOL - All I have are a few still photos and a couple of flyers.

My son worked at The Olympia for two years. He’s slight
and only once witnessed a problem.
I worked next door to Independence Hall on and off for 15+ years and never even had an interaction with an aggressor or even a homeless person. Even at night in that neighborhood (and surrounding ones) you’ll be safe.
Only caution I’d warn you about is the Parking Authority which relies on treachery, obfuscation, deceit, and chicanery. There’s a PA garage on 2nd street across from the Custom House that’s less than 10 minutes from each site. Nothing at all to worry about.
PM me with
Any other questions.

There is a bit of hope in the video, as two people, perhaps a man and a woman, came to the victim’s aid, and stopped the attack.
