I know I don’t want to shoot anyone. If I’m ever in that situation, It would be bad.
I use a 1911 as my carry.
I hope the sound of me racking the semiauto would be enough to deter them, or at least not have to pull the trigger to save my or a loved one’s life.
Studies have shown that no, it isn’t enough to deter most criminals. All it does is tell them where you are and indicate that you don’t keep your pistol fully loaded and ready for action.
