German heating can't be made 100% electric, suppliers say

But banning oil and gas too soon would be technically and financially unrealistic, the industry believes.

"We can't bet on an all-electric solution, which would require an urgent and crazy-sum power network expansion,"

A ban would also close the door to hybrid systems that could gradually introduce more home-produced solar thermal and photovoltaic energy, and fill existing gas pipelines with renewable-derived gases, he added.

Germany spent 2 TRILLION EURO on solar and wind. California spent 1/3rd of that. Yet, California produces 5 times more energy than Germany. Why?

Because the sun doesn’t shine and the wind doesn’t blow in Germany.

That is the plan. Next comes government rationing. Politics will probably determine who gets electricity. The woke will get priority if I am correct.

Do you have a source for that statistic?
A quick look shows nothing approaching your numbers.

People too focused on a single obsession - termed alternately “environmentalists” or “monomaniacs” by normal people - tend to regard the pain resulting from their policies as beneficial in the long run. In short, a little starvation or freezing to death is good for The Planet. Don’t try to reason them out of it; I have and it doesn’t work.

They think electricity is the source and vehicle of energy. Like a magical free river we can all tap into.

AKA, Target fixation in part because their puppet masters told them to do it to boost Gazprom sales.

I would agree...for over four decades, the system in Germany was consumed to believe that ‘cheap’ natural gas was always possible, and leading to the climate-change gimmick....natural gas could fill the ‘hole’ if you turned off nuke/coal energy production.

On the push to force renovation (lessening current natural gas usage for heat) and requiring heat pumps after 2024 (instead of oil/natural gas home furnaces)....they’ve had to admit two issues. First, around 50-percent of homes just aren’t in any shape for heat pumps to fill the role. Second, once you add the heat pump and E-cars to the current grid, there’s some suggestions that grid limits actually do exist.

There’s a whole lot of empty political chatter going on presently, and not helping to alleviate panic or chaos.
