After having spent many years working in combat areas I absolutely loathe warmongers

I see we have that in common. I, too, loathe war and warmongers.

Ever see and smell a bloated corpse, oh warmongers? Ever see body parts scattered about? Thought so. . .

Oh yes, and boy howdee. I won't elaborate, as what I have seen is too horrifying for words. No normal ordinary good person living in peacetime should ever have to know such horrors exist. It's anti-human and anti-God.

Ref the smell. The smell of a decomposing body inside a sealed house is beyond sickening. Bodies left out in the open are gruesome beyond description.

But the smell of hot war is like nothing else. There is no way to describe it, as it's all mixed up -- the earthy coppery scent of fresh spurting blood mixed up with the acrid ARTY smoke mixed up with the blinding burning exhaust of the the tanks and whatever it is that billows from bombed-out buildings, and somehow, somehow, one knows not how, the good scent of earth rises up to mingle, too. But above it all rises the high-pitched smell of utter fear-shock and death-surprise -- and this is is the scent that is totally unique to hot war. I don't understand it -- perhaps humans send out pheromones other humans can smell at such horror-filled moments? I don't know.

Anyway,it has an enormous overpowering (and strangely heady) smell of its very own, indescribable and overwhelming -- and eventually giving way to the sickening smells of the ruins of war. Decaying bodies of human beings and animals, burning homes, rotting refuse. The pigs and the rats have a field day. For awhile. Then they too, succumb to rot and stench.

Thank you for your post. You know. It is horrible, certainly nothing to wish for and always something to avoid unless it becomes absolutely unavoidable.

Escalating the situation between Ukraine and Russia until it results in global carnage and destruction is totally avoidable for the West.

I WAS SCHOCKED TO HEAR HANNITY CALL FOR War. I thought he was sane at least. People clapping to shoot down Russian Fighter jets over an unmanned drone? If war comes think he and his family will be anyplace near New York? Think he will be coving the War for Fox News on the front? NO. When the Biden War Powers are in place he’s thinking—”I’ll have a place as a “Token” Conservative on the National News Network that will replace all the others with the start of war.” If war comes I hope a Hypersonic Nuclear rocket hits New York while he is on the air. They can all clap as they are vaporized.

Hannity is, and always has been a deep state mouth piece.

Well, at least Mike Waltz realizes that if we fight Russia we will face a cabal of states—Not just the “Gas Station with a few old nukes,” I think the Axis is much larger than just Russia-China-Iran but just those three would be formidable. Who would be on our side and how many would sit the war out as neutral? Would Germany? They gave up their military for Green new Deal? How many Brits of Middle eastern background will fight? What about Canada—Will Castro want to follow us into the war? What of Mexico? Japan? (They have a phobia against being Nuked.) They may site this one out. You can bet NATO will shatter—what will Israel do—sit on her hands is my bet. Big question is India. Russia may well have some unexpected allies besides Syria (a client state) like Brazil, Egypt, North Sudan, South Africa, and Cuba. Forget the Panama canal, say bye bye to Suez Canal and the south China Sea. Once the goods stop coming from China all the drugs will be GONE! What if Mexico, ruled by Cartel dictators, joins with Russia? NO, his can go bad real fast. The cheering sounds great now, but what happens when our super carriers roll over and 3,000 Americans all go to Davy Jone’s Locker—on National TV? I hope Hannity sleeps well tonight as the lights go out all over the world.

This can go bad real fast.

There's always a great war and a big geopolitical shake-up every 75-100 years. The Austrian, Ottoman, and Russian empires collapsed after World War I. The British and French empires collapsed after World War II. I think the USA is next. It sure feels that way.

Wet Dream that China will enter the war on Our side to seize Siberia Russia. That should be the last thing we want—it would make China rich in Natural resources. No, China gets all that for Free by being Russia’s ally. This isn’t WW I or WW II folks—its a whole new ball of wax. This is all to get people afraid to cover up corruption—but it could upset the apple cart fast. Keep you heads down when the bullets start to fly.

How much of Europe is still Europe?

Letting in millions of migrants, tearing down statues, bureaucrats and technocrats running the show, etc.

Same’s happening here in the States, so sorry if I can’t gin up any enthusiasm.

Hannity is a new york city democrap. Anyone listening to him is just getting hype and amped up. He provides no useful information. He, and Fox, lies through omission.

Liberaltarian BS. Russia invaded Ukraine. Period. Ukraine will pay the price and now after the Drone incident, the US will up the ante with more lethal equipment.

End of story.

Totally agree. China will side with Russia and end up owning them.

This is strangely poetic; like poetry from the 7th Circle of Hell.

I stopped listening to him years ago, the repetition of his show became unlistenable. For some reason I caught a few minutes of it yesterday before changing channels. Struck me how stupid he is. He just didn’t seem to understand what his “guests” were saying or was too busy gathering his response to talk over them at the next opportunity.

He has gotten fat since he started banging the chick from the morning show.

What is it with Fox…a lot of their on air men leave their wives for producers and reporters from the same company?

And one thing that always happens is that one baddie gets replaced by another:

Remove the Kaiser, get Hitler.
Remove Hitler, get Stalin.
Remove Tojo, get Mao.

And no doubt, removing Putin, will allow for the next baddie to emerge, just like in “Whack-A-Mole”.

“when I first started to listen to Sean. He was lock-stock-barrel for sending other folks kids to war.”

There’s never a shortage of these guys. Hugh Hewitt is another one who somehow didn’t enlist in the infantry but thinks that a good war is a glorious thing.

The funny thing about the way that the world is now is that we are far less protected by our two oceans than we were before. A really angry foe can reach out and cause real damage here in the good old USA in a lot of different ways, few of which have to be actual military action. James Burke’s “Connections” could serve as a primer for how technology has inadvertently increased that risk.
