Amnesty International Admits Ukraine is Using Children as Human Shields

Amnesty International has admitted that Ukraine is using children and other civilians as human shields in its war against Russia, launching attacks from populated areas and turning schools, hospitals, and homes into military outposts; all things that Amnesty International says constitute a violation of humanitarian law.

Amnesty International is frequently cited by the globalist class as the foremost organization on human rights and has been openly in favor of taking down Russia and its President, Vladimir Putin. However, a recent admission by the globally-operating NGO sheds light on the human shield tactics that Ukraine is using as the war with Russia drags on.

“Ukrainian forces have put civilians in harm’s way by establishing bases and operating weapons systems in populated residential areas, including in schools and hospitals, as they repelled the Russian invasion that began in February,” Amnesty International said in a statement that was released in August 2022 but received little media coverage…

Ukraine, NATO and the US are using children as human shields? Possible but most likely disinfo.

You can only “admit” something if YOU are the one doing it. You can’t “admit” that someone else committed murder or a robbery. The article’s title is misleading at best and outright propaganda at worst.

ad·mit
[ədˈmit]
VERB
confess to be true or to be the case, typically with reluctance:
“the office finally admitted that several prisoners had been injured” · ““I am feeling pretty tired,” Jan admitted” · “I have to admit I was relieved when he left” · “she admitted her terror of physical contact”

Our resident neocons think this is not only ok, but a preferred defense.

I have challenged no less than a dozen on this site.

I have been saying for a full year Ukraine is systemically violating the Geneva Conventions and laws of war.

No different than the Palistinians.

None.

Your article is about an Amnesty article from last summer.

Your article about the actual article quotes it thusly.
“”Furthermore, Amnesty International says that it investigated numerous Russian strikes in Ukraine, that have been labeled as attacks on civilians, but found that wasn’t the case and that Ukrainian forces had made deliberate military use of residential areas.””

But the actual amnesty article says “”Not every Russian attack documented by Amnesty International followed this pattern, however. In certain other locations in which Amnesty International concluded that Russia had committed war crimes, including in some areas of the city of Kharkiv, the organization did not find evidence of Ukrainian forces located in the civilian areas unlawfully targeted by the Russian military.””

Where did you think parentless and abandoned children in Russian-speaking areas of Eastern Ukraine ( now part of Russia by duma decree) living in state institutions were going to be sent when their villages are being shelled?

The Ukrainians have a sympathetic media and atrocities against them get tons of coverage. Like the Palestinians, they may have learned to manufacture atrocities when there’s a shortage. Of course, the Russians are likely to manufacture them too.

Those children would not be orphans if Russia was not trying to take over Ukraine for the last ten years.

National File, 03/22/2023: "However, a recent admission by the globally-operating NGO..."
Amnesty, August 4, 2022. Seven months ago is "recent"?
