‘Trash tsunamis’ flow in tourist hotspot
NY Post ^

In the clips shared to social media, masses of garbage could be seen charging down canals and storm drains, the water carrying it virtually invisible for all of the junk.

“These are the trash tsunamis of Indonesia and it will all end up in the ocean,” clean-up environmentalist Gary Bencheghib, who shared the clip, wrote.

“We can no longer turn a blind eye to these waves of plastic.”

“The trash is not the problem. It’s the people. If they don’t waste from the beginning, there will still be trash but maybe better managed,” another wrote.

Others called for a more constructive approach than shaming the people who had contributed to the trash.

I have never understood the attitude of people who just throw there trash on the ground. It’s not that hard to carry it to a trash can. I even keep a trash bag or two in the car if stuff needs to be thrown away (or I need an emergency rain coat.

I’m surprised how lazy and ignorant some people can be.

"The trash is not the problem. It’s the people."

Yep, it is the 3rd world, coming to us now thanks to Biden and Harris.

Trash is the real climate problem, not cars, gas stoves and heaters. Focus on littering, cleaning up our environment, and for many, this starts with cleaning up their own house, yard, neighborhood, and city. I’ve traveled to 50 countries and this is a near universal problem outside the US. And, here, it is the problem in illegal immigrant communities. Trash everywhere. Filthy.

Silly me. I thought the solution was transgenderism. Or electric cars. Or something.

Japan seems to have a good handle on handling trash and keeping their streets clean. Despite being one of the most densely populated nations on earth.

As opposed to the US, which just has a dense population.

The true story about all this trash is most of these countries dump their trash in the ocean.
Most don’t have the land space for trash.
I went to Bali in 2001 and was shocked how dirty the country was outside of the tourist areas.
I hear it is much worse now.

trash tsunamis of Indonesia

I bet the US federal government springs into action to restrict things at your local supermarket. Because why wouldn't they?

Red China has 4 times the population of the U.S.

Just imagine what’s being dumped there.

But the US gets the blame for everything. It’s YOUR fault for eating meat and driving ICE vehicles!

Unlike the turd world the G7 nations who created the plastics have the ability to recycle and they try to recycle

The turd world couldn’t make the plastics let alone recycle.

These asses are the majority of the UN, the same undeveloped Islamic and African gangs who want to dictate the future of the west and the world.

What hooey!

You’re both wrong.

The solution is more and higher taxes.

More and higher taxes is ALWAYS the solution!

Because your leaders CARE!!!!
