What really bothered me about that scene in “The Matrix” was the idea that you could take a pill, drug, from a total stranger and it would lead to knowledge. I have the same problem with films that you can take something, like Flubber and become stronger or smarter or a superhero.

In “The Matrix” it wasn’t a pill. It was a program which looked like a pill and it freed the person taking it from a false reality.
Thus we say liberals get ‘red pilled’ when they start to become aware of the false reality of the left.
