If I HAVE to go backwards, I still want running water in the house.
A flush toilet is optional. Ever hear of Humanure? It’s all the rage these days.
UGH!
Unless you have an Artesian Well, my aunt in Mississippi had one, running water in the house without electricity is kinda difficult.
Of course you could build a cistern on stilts and collect rainwater, to get the differential flow, but in winter it would be frozen solid..............
It’s easy enough to bring in a bucket of water for a flush, though; you can even melt snow to do it! I’ve done that in electrical power failures, summer and winter. ;)
We had an outhouse, so didn’t have that ‘problem’!............😜
This administration MUST drive up the cost of gas and diesel because at $2.00 a gallon, it is cheaper to operate than an EV. Cant push the all electric mantra when petroleum is cheaper.
With current levels of voter fraud, the headline could say: “You have ALREADY lost your power...”
What we are witnessing now is a slow-motion train wreck...
It’s possible to build a gasifier that would allow you to run that generator off wood, charcoal, or other home-grown burnables.
I suspect woodgas is about to get a popularity surge.
