Even the worst movies and shows get like an “11%” rating on RT, because people like one of the stars, or there is a “it’s so bad it’s good” element, etc. Nothing gets a 1%.

I have always loved history. I never heard of a black Cleopatra till 1968 in the military while talking to my white crew chief when the subject of the movie Cleopatra came up.
He blurted that “She was black too!” I was stunned that a white guy would not know Cleopatra was Greek!
Cleopatra was descendent of Ptolemaios Soter, one of the generals of Alexander the Great. After the dead of Alexander, his empire was divided (violently) into his generals. Ptolemaios took over Egypt and adjacent countries.
His descendants were in habit of marrying within the family, and speaking Greek, not even learning the Egyptian language.
So Cleopatra was of pure Macedonian descent!
Present day analogy would be to make queen Victoria black/Hindu since she ruled African and Indian colonies.
The fact of Jada Pinkett Smith being one of the producers was another negative for some viewers.
She and husband Will Smith have their own baggage.

So what? THEY DON’T CARE. Non one reads the NYT, the Washington Post. No one watches CNBC, MSNBC, etc. Even if Netflix loses millions of $/yr. It doesn’t matter to them, what matters to the owners is they play a part in spreading propaganda and lies to benefit the cause. To get credit for being on the “right side”. To be invited to the best parties and get good articles written about them.
