Some people are too dumb to breathe
“Are people getting dumber?
When I was a kid people seemed to know to leave wild animals alone.”
We were up in Alaska a couple of weeks ago. The tour guides actually warned people repeatedly to stay away from the wildlife. We had one guy that handled it best. He said “up here in Alaska, we don’t protect stupidity the way they do in California.”
I have two major hatreds. One is those who abuse animals. The other is for the self-righteous idiots who believe that killing an animal is better than letting some person save it. If there was a woke policy I would dismantle first, it’s anything to do with so-called animal and bird protectors who won’t let the information spread on how to treat and care for injured animals.
This is another reason why I avoid obnoxious tourist venues like the plague.
Big tourist venues like Yellowstone, Yosemite etc, have become little more than amusement parks for obnoxious people...Buy your tickets, make your reservations and get in line....lol..
They should post pictures of the Darwin Award winners along the roads in Yellowstone...
It seems I recall some foreign tourists doing the same thing several years ago. I believe in that case the park personnel ended up having to euthanize the animal. Tourists do not realize that the mother leaves her baby alone as she goes off to graze and will return to feed and see to the kid after she has eaten her fill.
Do tourists no longer read up on the places they plan to visit and read all the warnings, instructions, and advice given?
AT YNP, everyone is given a brochure on what not to do at the entrance gate. It is usually ignored by the tourons. (tourist - moron).
I’m Anne Elk and I have a theory about tourists ...
I like her shorts!
Palo Pinto! My old stomping grounds!!
“People just can’t allow nature to take its course.”
Well, nature will take its course when these idiots “adopt” a grizzly bear.
Sounds like she got herself an education.
i love a happy ending.

I have a family member who is a NPR. He says there are a lot of stupid people in this world and most of them end up at a national park at least once in their lives.
I always see these videos on Youtube we people find a fawn and think it is in danger or lost.
It ISN’T!
Leave it alone. Mama will return.
It’s not Black Bears that are dangerous to People it’s Grizzly Bears that are dangerous to People. They look at People as Food.
So does the bison.
We were at Mount Rushmore last week. As we left, we pulled over to shoot some photos of a buffalo. It was about ten feet from us but behind a fence. My wife opened the car door and stepped out, leaving the door between her and the buffalo.
You’d have to be a complete moron to walk up to one of those beasts.
People are Disneytized. They think animals act / think like people....animals will understand that a human is just being friendly by standing by them.
