President Donald Trump is making an anticipated appearance at the New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women today, where he will double down on his strong stance to protect Medicare and Social Security for American seniors.
The president will take a swing at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who has been slammed in the past for voting to raise the minimum ages for drawing Medicare and Social Security during his time in Congress.
President Trump will declare: “Unlike Ron DeSanctimonious—who voted to gut Medicare and Social Security and voted 3 times to raise the retirement age to 70—I will ALWAYS protect Medicare and Social Security for our great seniors.”
Okay, so Trump is going! That wasn’t clear in another thread. My thought is still the same. He might regale them with stories of adultry, grabbing pu55y, paying off porn stars and hookers, and his great women hiring choices that he later trashed for disloyalty. Should be an engaging conversation.
Attacking from the Left.
I writing DeSantis on the ballot. Yep! You’ve convinced me. Voting for trump four times is more then supportive.
That is as out of line as the Only Trumpers.
Yes, he could repeat his opposition to 6-week abortion ban and support for only a late term abortion ban. Will he also criticize DeSantis efforts to protect and promote family values and so forth? Will he criticize for the boycott of Bud Light and attacks on Disney?
Ok
This is why I dislike politicians. Social Security should be partially privatized over the next 20 years incrementally. It would be parts. People should be allowed to “invest” their portion of the tax and have the employer portion managed/guaranteed by the government.
And 2nd, the privately managed portion could have no required start date and can be left to beneficiaries tax free.
Yes, probably. Yes, agreed. But it is good contrast to their respective values, actions, and successes.
Exactly. The uniparty opposes any reform to entitlement programs to make them solvent. The uniparty just wants to run the nation into the ground.
That already exists, it’s call a 401k. We all payed into SS with the understanding we would be able to draw on it. Sure some investments would do a better job with better returns. But the majority of Americans would lose their shorts on stupid investments and become wards of the state anyway. Or are you suggesting the government tell them what to invest in? If so, how is that any different then SS?
SS isn't invested, it's a ponzi scheme.
Trump and Biden on the same page while REAL conservatives try to reform these out-of-control programs.
If you agree with Trump on this, you are not a conservative.
The Social Security system was designed to do just one thing, supply a supplemental income to people who had worked and paid into it. The first thing they did was give benefits to people who had never paid into it. It was designed to be a separate fund that wouldn’t be used as a piggybank by Congress. That ended because LBJ “conformed” the budget to get access to the money for his Great Society. Along the way Congress added in more and more payments to people who had not paid into the system. Another flaw was the system was designed to exist in a population that was forever getting more and more workers paying into it to make up for inflation. Then, people started living well beyond the point of 65, which was chosen because the average recipient died about that time. My mother, born in 1917, lived to be 102. In the last 30 years people have started living longer still. At some point, the can can’t be kicked any farther.
How does captain word salad propose to save social security???
So ………. Exactly what is Trump’s marvelous plan? Because a plan of some kind is necessary. Now.
“saving Social Security” is not a plan.
Donald? Donald? Hello?
Well then you should show us your virtue, you don’t have to draw on it. But I paid into it and I will draw on it.
