George Washington and there are still books written today about his greatness.

In modern history, people my age should recognize Reagan for his stubborn crusade to defeat of the USSR possibly preventing a 3rd world war that might have been more horrible than the first two combined.

The gentle wives of our Founders who kept the family farms and businesses going, took care of their children and their workers, made gun powder and transported it to where it was needed...they would have to go to near the top of the list.
