The more I read the more it appears that a high fat diet combined with a sedentary lifestyle are the highest risk factors for, well, everything.

High fat isnt the issue, unless they are trans fats.
Its really a high carb diet which the body has to deal with quickly, by storing much of it as fat.
High carb diets are weight gain diets. Its why we feed cattle it to put weight on fast. Its not a surprise we are obese, we eat the cattle weight gain diet as our docs and scientists told us were healthy.
