A man has been detained in Moscow after throwing a Molotov cocktail at the notorious Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin’s tomb in the Red Square in a failed attempt to set it on fire, according to local reports.
The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Konstantin Stachukov, from the city of Chita, was taken into custody Monday, according to multiple Russian news outlets.
At around 10 p.m. local time, Stachukov approached the heavily guarded crypt and hurled a bottle containing a flammable liquid at the imposing building, according to Telegram news channels Baza and Shot, as well as the state news agency RIA Novosti.

No need to do that: the sumbitch is already in flames.
That thing is made of solid stone slab.
This dumb ass was way under armed.
Anyone who’s read The Black Book of Communism knows what a sumbitch he is. Hated God, hated his fellow Russians, killed at least 5 million of them.
One of my high school teachers told the story of going to Moscow while he was in in college. He visited Lenin’s tomb, waiting in the long line to view the body, walking with his hands in his pockets and loudly chewing gum. When he got up to the point where the bier was, the on-duty soldier guarding the tomb slapped him soundly on the back of his head causing him to swallow his gum.

Maybe he is a Tsarist.
Was going to say this! That SOB’s rotting corps is made of wax. Every once in a while they take it out to really a new coat, especially after a hot summer.
I read that book when I was teaching world history to high-schoolers. Got a lot of serious mileage out of it. Seminal work, roundly ignored and panned by the educ establishment.
1987 for me. I had my arms folded and one of the armed guards slapped my arms down to my sides. In the tomb it was eerie, for sure.
History is a worthy subject. Kudos to you.
Moscow need not fear I’m sure Biden has a bid on it to brig it to bring it to D.C. the stage is set for communism.
Thx. 30 years; I enjoyed it. Coached baseball, too. Good life.
