RIP Twitter and even "Tweet".
Get used to NOT typing it.
A Tweet is now a 'Post" on there.
Twitter is now X.
The apps in the app stores have the new logo and an intro screen.
And soon it will go into dark mode by default.
Interesting times!

Th brand at least for most of us was/is tainted by the mass censorship and purges that went on under previous management.
I just checked the site and it’s still Twitter.com
Other than the missing bluebird everything looks the same.

So you’re the other one. You and I are obviously outlaws who found a way to disguise our oddball profiles on a forum allowing screen name anonymity. I’m also not on Facebook or Instagram.
I am not sure about the reason for the rebrand... maybe there had research that showed Twitter was a net negative of a brand... I don’t know... Not my monkeys not my circus.
He did that to cut down on the bots scraping twitter.
I would not be surprised if a 1/3 of all requests Twitter was handling before this changer were simply scapers/bots trying to gather raw data for various analytics and ML etc.
By requiring an account, or limiting the number of tweets you can see per day without an account, I am sure Twitter has cut its compute and network demands by a 1/3 or more.

I never joined Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, any of the early ones. When Trump got knocked off Twitter, I joined Parler thinking he’d end up there. Then Parler was taken down, so I tried Gab and Gettr, then added Truth Social when they started letting you access the site from you computers. I got rid of them all last year, as I found nothing interesting about them. Just time wasters, and at 76, time is too precious to spend on those sites.
Twatter is still valid though, right?
It’s almost like he wants to kill it, n’est-ce pas?
