How did we solve the data communications problems going through the van Allen belts to control the spacecraft in 1969? With 1969 data speeds?

Would you like to know how the Artemis project is dealing with the radiation issue they can’t solve?

Another link for you—blame the link if you don’t like it:

Make Europe deal with it!

Lol.

Proof of my point. Lots of countries are planning on going, BECAUSE WE SOLVED a lot of problems of how to get there. Shit, the CLINTONS gave them our research in the 1980s so they could have rockets today.
It’s not cheap to get there. We dedicated a lot of money and blood to do so.

WAY MORE PROOF we landed than a bunch of shit conspiracy theorists scrapping sewage lined barrels for doubt.

The Russians didn’t make it to the moon because their rocket engines for heavy lift were a complete failure.

“If Lunar astronaut did comply with your demand would you believe him or accuse him of perjury? I suspect the latter, and if you claim you’d believe him, I wouldn’t believe you.”

Wouldn’t make any difference, no conspiracy nut has ever admitted they were wrong.

The CGI used to fake all of those moon landings was remarkable, especially considering that the most powerful super-computers in existence in the 1960s and early 1970s had less computational power than your average smartphone today.

That information is available at your fingertips. It was also available in school, which is obvious you didn’t pay attention. We are not your educators. We don’t have the time to take you through years of school that you didn’t respect enough the first time to learn.

“Then convince this Avionics Engineer and former NASA Project Management Consultant!”

Sure, you were. If so, proof a project manager doesn’t have to have a STEM degree of any sorts. Avionics Engineer, very doubtful. If you were, then you could find the answers to the questions easily, not to mention, an avionics engineer, which I am one, knows how to handle radiation, which you asked about.

You claim to be an avionics engineer but don’t know the answer to that simple question?? There is no way you are an engineer of any sort. Please, go lie to someone else. Take this off FR. You are embarrassing this place.

Boy was Ken Olson wrong. My ex wife grew up here in Nashua, NH. At various points in time everyone in her immediate family(5 people) worked for Digital Equipment Corp. 60M people worked for them in MA & NH. There were multiple buildings & complexes all around here in southern NH that they owned. Now, there is one facility left that is now owned by HP. After Hewett Packard bought out Compac who bought DEC.

The title line on that video is a plain old lie. He never said they couldn't get through the belts, just that they had the potential to cause issues for the navigation and guidance systems. That's not news.

By the way, Orion/Artemis flew through the Van Allen belts just fine unmanned.

Let’s pretend our shielding technology was available in 1969. Our signals were still vulnerable to radiation interference. That coupled with data transmission issues was a recipe for disaster. Which is why WVB said we had a 1 in 10,000 chance to make it. We didn’t even send a monkey knowing this likelihood of failure
