If I were one such astronaut, I would refuse to do so on the grounds that the DEMAND to do so is both insulting and blasphemous. Quite simply put, you don’t have the authority do demand that they (hypothetically, I) swear by God to that effect.

You seem like a reasonable person, so I take no offense at your comment. Circumstantial and Factual evidence suggests we have not gone to the moon. The physical, technological, and financial limitations prevented both us and the Russians from achieving a moon landing up to this point. We may soon solve these daunting problems, however the current UFO ruse would suggest there are ulterior motives for these productions.

Going to the moon is expensive and difficult, and no country other than these United States ever had both the cash and the expertise to do it.

“For some reason” no other country builds full size aircraft carriers, either. Yet we manage to do it on a regular basis and operate them routinely.

Gullible people who “just post links” would probably deny the existence of aircraft carriers, if it wasn’t so easy to drive down to Norfolk and see them with your own two eyes.

Sure, if we were taking the whole rocket to the moon and back. But we didn't.

We took only as much propulsion and craft as we would need. And jettisoned what we didn't need.

I am a space guy with an education and decades of experience. Unlike the uneducated, easily fooled, the gullible, and the emotionally needy types, I know for fact we went to the moon. I’ve literally spent my whole life in the space industry. I was born at Vandenberg AFB in the 1960’s watching missile launches, and I knew I would be a spaceman. I was. I even graduated the USAF space school. No one can say we don’t have a space program or that we didn’t go to the moon. If you don’t understand how then study more, a hell of a lot more. Even an elementary school kid knows better than to listen to the Flat Earth Society nonsense.

No, Von Braun’s theories weren’t “wrong” per se, not in the slightest, what was at issue was how to _meet the deadline_ of putting a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.

Jack Conroy provided the solution in the form of his Guppy line of aircraft, specifically the Super Guppy.

A little known fact regarding the significant role that the 377PG and 377SG played in Kennedy's dream of getting to the moon by the end of the 1960's. NASA was given top priority to meet this deadline. The Pregnant Guppy's first flight was on September 19, 1962, a little over a year after Kennedy's famous "to the moon by the end of the decade" speech.

The Pregnant Guppy was so successful that ASI built a second larger Guppy for larger, heavier loads. The 377SG Super Guppy flew for the first time just short of three years after the Pregnant Guppy on August 31, 1965.

Without the Guppys, the only other way to get the Apollo rocket stages from Califorinia to Florida was on a slow boat through the Panama Canal. The Guppys cut not just days, but weeks and months out of the schedules. Without the Guppys, we never would have made it to the moon by `69!
