You are correct that evidence is not proof absent a tribunal which is willing to review the evidence.
I have been open to DeSantis more than most here but this definitely makes me consider tossing his candacy into nearly the same ash heap with Pence’s candacy if so.

First, he did try to fight it but the courts used the BS standing excuse to keep Trump from presenting evidence. Second, what good are recounts when you recounting the same illegitimate ballots. Recounts are a trap. The result will be the same and you vindicate the ones who stole the election. The ballots that were dumped once the rats knew how many were needed would still be there.
