“I’m told that only EV’s catch on fire”

Any type of vehicle is subject to bursting into flames after crashing.....EVs however have the distinction of spontaneously combusting for no apparent reason.

This happened where I am in July:

“the car wasn’t even charging when it went up in flames...”

Fully EV cars (BEV’s) are less liable to catch on fire than ICE cars. However, a legitimate criticism is that once an EV catches on fire it’s harder to put out.
