Attorneys for Jussie Smollett filed an appeal challenging the actor's disorderly conduct conviction.
Smollett's defense argues the conviction should be overturned because his right to due process was violated.
The brief was filed just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, hours before the court's final deadline. The three-judge appellate panel had granted a fifth extension to Smollett's attorneys in January to file their arguments, but warned it would be the last. (Until the next one.)
Prosecutors said at the time they wouldn't pursue the 16 counts against Smollett in consideration of his community service and turning over his $10,000 bond to the city of Chicago.

I suspect his legal team is going to draw this out with appeals and the judge will eventually say, 'Jussie has suffered enough' and let him go.
Maybe they need to have a consultation with blubba Talladega fake nooseboy wallace to help with the situation.
I though jail made the poor dear too anxious.
1. There should not be “hate crime” laws.
2. Even with that in mind any charge against Smollet would be as they are, for filing a false report (assault) to the police.
3. The media should wipe “hate crime” from the language of its reoorting. The hoax was not that it was not a “hate crime” but that the assualt was staged with the so-called victim a participant in it.

You are absolutely correct. A “hate crime” is a thought crime. They should not exist but l think every state has them at this point and l see no possibility of undoing it. This punk she have not been released. The judge sentenced him but he is a black twink so he gets out.

I just want this sob to get jail time but the fact they're dragging it out means most people have already forgotten Jussie and it would be easy to just drop this case.
