Zaxby’s USED to have my favorite chicken sandwich - their Cajun Club was blackened rather than fried. They quit selling it apparently, so I guess I’m alone in preferring my chicken unbreaded and unfried. Their current chicken club is fried and I still prefer it to CFA.
Never tried Popeyes - I used to get their mild fried chicken a lot, but either my taste has changed or they have changed something, because their chicken now has an unpleasant chemical taste to me (as does KFC).

Bojangles
Zaxby’s
Raising Cane’s
Church’s
All chains listed here have at least 700 locations
Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr. and Jack in the Box also deserve a test.
We have a Popeye’s near us. I gotta try them. My wife and daughter always go to Arby’s, McDonalds, Culver’s-never Popeye’s, and that’s the closest…
Popeyes is just crap.. have no idea how this chain is even in business..
Food is crap, service is crap, restaurants are always filthy…
All you need to do is drive by a Chick-Fil-A and look at the mob.
And there are two factors that make them the best. Really good food and the fastest service in the business.
My sandwich has beat me to the pick-up station many times before the cashier could count out the change, You can’t discount that.
The difference is that El Loco Pollo is real, and Los Pollos Hermanos is made up for the Breaking Bad series.
McDonald’s chicken sandwich is good at first- but the aftertaste is awful- haven’t had any of the others=- no chic-filet near us- or popeyes

With the sandwich, you get mayo, lettuce, pickle and tomato and of course the bun- which all go to make it taste pretty good-

Chick-Fil-A Is over rated…great service
Best ever was KFC’s zinger twister. But like when they got rid of their wings, they make stupid decisions.
Popeye’s is easily the best. All the others are not even close.
When I go to Chik-fil-A, I always ask for no pickle. That way it comes out crispy every time.
what stands out to me, though, is a fast food chicken sandwich is now $5.

Sounds right. Really, nothing comes close to Popeyes and Chick Fila.

Did not know that.
They order Canes at my work sometimes. I hadn’t heard of them before. Never had their chicken sandwich but the tenders, sauce, and slightly sweet bread on the side is pretty darn good.
The new Chic Fil A chicken sandwich with pimento cheese is really good!
They all suck. Chk fil A is okay for chicken but generally you shouldn’t buy chicken at restaurants. Beef lamb or pork. Not chicken. Most chicken sandwiches are breast meat which has no flavor of its own. It has to be marinated and seasoned. Chicken sandwiches rely on the bread coating and spices for their flavor. Also bread pickles and sauces like mayonnaise. But otherwise chicken breast has little flavor by itself.
