Joe Biden's relationship with his attorney general, Merrick Garland, is so icy it is 'in the deep freeze', according to a report on Saturday.
Biden and his aides are infuriated by Garland's decision to appoint special counsels to investigate both Biden's handling of classified documents, and his son Hunter's business affairs. They told The Wall Street Journal that Garland was seen as going too far in his effort to appear independent from Biden, who appointed him.
But Garland's aides told the paper that the widely-respected, low-key official was simply trying to stop any suspicion that Biden was influencing his decisions.
Biden, 80, stressed repeatedly in his hiring of Garland, 70, that he was choosing someone with integrity and independence.
Determined to differentiate himself from Donald Trump, who repeatedly lent on his two attorney generals - Jeff Sessions and Bill Barr, Biden vowed that he would not interfere in Garland's work.
'The past four years we've had a president who's made his contempt for our democracy, our Constitution, the rule of law, clear in everything he has done,' said Biden in January 2021, naming his Cabinet as president-elect.
'More than anything, we need to restore the honor, the integrity, the independence of the Department of Justice that's been so badly damaged.'
As he ushered Garland onto the stage, he told him: 'You don't work for me.'
Yet now that very independence is proving problematic, sources told the paper.
Biden's aides noted that prosecutors have already closed their investigation into former vice president Mike Pence's handling of classified documents, after papers were found at his Indiana home.
Pence's papers were found in the same month that documents were located at Biden's Delaware home: both Biden and Pence handed over the documents to the authorities, and declared the discovery themselves - unlike Trump.

I also think that the J6 political prisoners some who have been in jail since 2021 think IT is unfair too. By the way our 6th amendment says that you cannot keep a prisoner for over 72 days before going before a judge and some of them have been in jail since 2021. - unfair TO THE EXTREME. I hope if any of you are jailed by this tyrannical administration that you realize no one will come to help you. How many of us have come to help those from J6. You can sent them letters and call your congressmen have any of you done that? We, as a people, should be ashamed at out lack of support.
I don’t know whether to believe this story or to suspect that it is being presented to protect Garland and Biden from accusations of collusion and favoritism.
I think you nailed it. The question remains. How do we wake up the good people without breaking them. I am beginning to think that we must tell them the truth and break them and let them know that we have all been deceived. None of us are perfect, but what makes us “good” is that we seek perfection. Flawed as we are.
I believe this is all kabuki theater. Staged outrage, with no real follow through in the end. No honor here.

Sounds like a cover story to put people off the track that they are supposedly going after Hunter to keep him from testifying against Joe.
This is a classic CLINTON play. If you want to hide the truth fill the airways with fake stories that people will WANT to believe. After awhile it becomes impossible for the average person to know what is true, what is a lie and what is gaslighting. Meanwhile the corruption goes on, the rich get richer and we the people lose our money, our rights and our freedom.
LOL, Garland is doing everything he can to block and tackle for Brandon and his loathsome demon spawn.
But the more light gets shed on the reality of their stupid, ruthless, and embarrassingly sloppy grifting, the harder it gets to pretend that the whole DC UniParty system isn’t hopelessly corrupt.
Garland doesn’t have an honorable bone in his body, or he wouldn’t work to protect the systemic corruption that permits even midwit crooks like Biden to prosper.

Biden “suggested” the Raid on Mar-A-Lago
The Dark Brandon speech was to alert the country that the Charges were necessary.
The only reason they are doing these Biden/Hunter probes is to get Trump so it won’t be patently obvious to the NPC’s that this is all political and weaponization of government...what the hell is happening to the DOJ and FBI...SAD...have they never heard of prosecutorial discretion...to charge political figure things have to be grave and clear cut and not open to interpretation or novel...bet bet is to vote the fool democrats out..but they do have a army of drone brain wash NPC’s so will have to work hard with ballot harvesting.
