Doctors admit they can't tell Covid apart from allergies or the common cold anymore - highlighting how mild virus has become

Covid patients are becoming harder to distinguish from those suffering from allergies or the common cold, doctors say.

The most common symptoms of the virus are now sore throat, sneezing or congestion — the same as RSV, asthma or a pollen allergy.

For comparison, in the early stages of the pandemic, Covid had very distinct symptoms - such as a dry cough and a loss of sense of smell or taste.

Dr Erick Eiting, vice chair of operations for emergency medicine at Mount Sinai, New York City, which was hammered hard during the pandemic, said virtually every Covid patient in hospital at the moment was 'really mild'.

Dr Eiting told NBC News: 'Just about [every Covid patient] who I've seen has had really mild symptoms.

'The only way that we knew it was Covid was because we happened to be testing them.'

He added: 'It isn't [causing] the same typical symptoms that we were seeing before. It's a lot of congestion, sometimes sneezing, usually a mild sore throat.'

Covid can also cause fever, headaches, fatigue and coughs — but they are becoming less common.

Dr Michael Daignault, an emergency physician in California, added: 'Especially since July, when this recent mini-surge started, younger people that have upper respiratory symptoms... 99 percent of the time they go home with supportive care.'

By upper respiratory symptoms, he was referring to coughs, runny noses, sore throats, fever and chills.

Doctors say that Covid has become much milder now because now almost every American has immunity against it from vaccination or previous infection.

New variants have also emerged, which appear to have made the virus more infectious but less deadly.

Official data shows Covid hospitalizations are ticking up nationwide, having risen nearly nine percent...

But naive leftists (are there any other kind?) are masking up already. Not to mention our bottom of the IQ barrel journalism majors who are eager to continue the COVID fear porn.

The wife got minor cold (or COVID) symptoms. Twenty four hours later - getting much better. Was it COVID? Who knows? And fewer and fewer care.

They never could.

Got a "presumptive positive" on the one time the doctor sent me for a test. So sorry, no treatment for you.

I read the report and saw that the "healthcare professional" admitted there was NO virus detected but it must be the mysterious virus of unknown origin because I had a deep cough.

Called the doctor and asked as politely as possible to please read my chart and he would see that for the past couple of decades I had this same issue about the same time every year. Did he really think that I been having WuFlu for the past two decades or was it bronchial asthma like it was the other twenty times and could I please have my prescription?

I live in Ithaca, NY. I see women and men alone in their cars, wearing masks, every day. Also walking alone in the open air, wearing masks. It’s mostly a liberal thing, and Ithaca is Liberal Central.

Around here (semi-rural North Georgia, just inside the outside border of one of the five metro counties) the ONLY people I see wearing masks are either very elderly people of any race (I mean 80s and up), or black people of *any* age from children to elderly, including middle-aged and young particularly.

I don't understand why.

‘become mild’ ??

no. it was always relatively mild for most people, esp. if treated properly, lots fluids, lots C, D, green tea, Ivermectin, or Querticin, good supplements, o/c antihistamines, maybe a little aspirin or naproxin for pain control (low dose w/nac.) etc., especially if you were under 40. you have to panic and do some real stupid things like go to the emergency room and get admitted to the hospital to get into real trouble with big/med’s/big pharma/faschi’s (repackaged/failed cancer/sars/etc.) ‘treatments’ like getting put on a vent and remdesivir for the bioweapon.

and of course my kids got over it in a day. took us a week and we did have some persistent symptoms so faschi’s bioweapon’s not necessarily a picnic for the over 50/60 crowd. but sars or the flu can be a problem for older folks, as well.

and of course the spiked jab is adverse event/toxic/immuno-deficit city. it also kills if you are particularly susceptible to spike induced cytokine storms or clotting. well, you did volunteer to make yourself a spike factory.

How long ago did you have it?

I got it straight from China in late 2019. One of our choir members worked for an international import-export firm (she's Korean). She traveled to Shanghai and came back with a 104 degree fever and a cough like a horse with heaves.

A bunch of us caught it. I *never* get sick and I was down for two weeks. Went to my doc cause I wasn't shaking the cough, she prescribed steroids and a Z-pac. Said, "Looks like a bad virus." She was right (she usually is.)

Regarding masks on flights the cold air in the cabin can dry out the sinus membranes leaving them more susceptible to airborne pathogen attacks especially in winter. Wearing a mask will help to keep the sinuses moist and better able to ward off viral attacks. Plus on flights a lot of idiot passengers will sneeze openly without covering their mouths. I’ve been mildly ill these past few days because of morons sneezing on planes recent flights. Masks suck but there’s some benefit to them on airplanes.
