Barack Obama stayed silent when asked whether his wife Michelle might make a bid for the White House amid swirling rumors as he was spotted leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant.
In photographs exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, the 62-year-old former president was seen surrounded by security guards after enjoying a meal at Funke on South Santa Monica Boulevard.
Barack was dressed in a slick black blazer, open collar shirt and gray trousers for his outing at the Los Angeles hotspot - but one Secret Service car in his motorcade looked worse for wear.
Onlookers can be heard gasping as the SUV zoomed past them, and streetlights illuminated a huge dent on its right flank along with lengthy silver scratches through the black paintwork.
Meanwhile, Michelle Obama, 59, is vacationing aboard Steven Spielberg's yacht near Portofino on the Italian Riviera with Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson, and Spielberg's spouse Kate Capshaw.
Paparazzi who caught her husband leaving the restaurant asked him whether she would be making a bid for the White House - but he did not offer a comment.
Barack said something inaudible to waiting photographers but did not clearly respond to the question.
It is not clear what had happened to former president's Secret Service vehicle but it screeched off after exiting the parking garage.
It comes after prominent Texas politician and former Republican candidate Ted Cruz speculated that Michelle could replace Joe Biden before the 2024 election.
The Texas Senator said Democrats may be looking to avoid nominating 80-year-old Biden over concerns about his advanced age.
'Here's the scenario that I think is perhaps most likely, and most dangerous,' he said on his 'Verdict with Ted Cruz' podcast. 'In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.'

My basic assumption is that the Left (and their foreign backers) really WANT a civil war. They don’t necesarily need to win. They may not expect to win. But a civil war would destroy America, and that’s really all they want.
So, to get a civil war, they want to piss us off. They’ve been trying. Lots and lots of bad policies. Abusive legal system against J6 protesters, 91 felonies against a US president. The Left keeps pushing us, and so far we haven’t exploded.
Maybe getting Michelle into the White House would do it. You know she doesn’t want the job. You know she won’t do the job. You know she’s not capable of doing the job. It would be a complete mockery of any sort of Republic or any democratic process. It would be a spit in the face of We The People. Just anoint Michelle as President, and watch her go on a 4 year vacation. Maybe that will cause the civil war that the Left seems to want.
Listen up. If you watched the video you saw a cop car, 3 SUVs and another cop car. No ambulance, no 14 car motorcade with 20-30 state police motorcycle escort and a van of marines.

That, plus.... Moochelle doesn’t really like people so it would be a colossal strain on her to constantly have to pretend otherwise during all of those personal appearances a president or VP has to make.

For thr Mooch, the job will be a piece of cake. Her life in the White House will be taken care of her like they are doing for Biden. All she will need to do is read from the teleprompter and walk out, without answering questions. This will be the final conquest of America by the Marxists.
